Flat Earth.

What should be examined is nothing about the theory itself, but how people deal with it. If you think just a little about what the shape might be, you can easily come up with 3 different tests to make the determination, and if you put your mind to it you can think up 3 more. Just like the ancients did it, none of them need special instruments or the watching of YouTube videos.

But in the 10 years the psyop has been running, I have yet to hear a single person say they have thought up such tests and described them, let alone performed them. I'm sure some have, but it's incredibly rare.

The point here is that the simple, most basic idea of science to use observation and experiment to prove or disprove basic theories about the world has been nearly completely lost.

Without directly addressing how we got here, I think the first insight is to realize that the world is not how we always very reasonably assumed that it was.

To illustrate, take the example of language skills. Just in everyday interactions (and assuming you're in an English-speaking country), virtually everyone is conversant on a similar level in English. You have to encounter a foreigner who is a beginner speaker or a retarded person before you take note of the difficulties they have.

But if you're old enough to remember the advent of email, we all got a peek for the first time into everyone's written skills. Good Lord, it turned out many people are literally barely literate! They have difficulty structuring a sentence, let alone a paragraph or a full argument. And now with the advent of texting and tweeting it has managed to degrade significantly further.

This is all a long route to saying that to figure out what the hell is going on with anything in the world, we have to closely examine where we might have gone wrong in our own thinking. (And what's funny in the current context is that this is something I have yet to witness a Flat Earther doing.)

How has the world gotten into that situation?

Following the suggested progressivism of others; while ignoring to grow oneself. The parasitic few idolized scientific progress so that the ignorant many can pretend to be part of it; while they keep regressing through their ignorance.

That’s the major purpose of the heavily advertised (i.e. funded) psyop! To make sure you never encounter earnest researchers, or become one yourself! Imagine needing/wanting to spend so much to advertise that something already ostensibly stupid is too stupid to be worth looking into further!

The point here is that the simple, most basic idea of science to use observation and experiment to prove or disprove basic theories about the world has been nearly completely lost.

Agreed. Please join us on the community I created to discuss and exchange our views on this important subject! I am certain we will all benefit from the discussion as long as we are earnest. We have a lot to talk about, if you are interested!

Your comment is a stack of assumptions, and has nothing to do with the actuality of the matter.

You mention tests. Here's a simple one, you don't even have to move: does water bend? Are the cargo ships now at sea tilted relative to your position? Yes or no?

Meniscus (liquid)

I'll save you the reply and write it myself: "Ohhhh, you know what I meant!"

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Celest 2 points 3 years ago +2 / -0

Yes, I'm aware of meniscus, and you'd be right to assume that would be my reply. We both know that surface tension would produce concave/convex water surfaces only if the area were tiny enough, as depicted. Surface tension may still occur at the edge as you increase the surface area, but the rest of the water would level out. (I may be mistaken about this.)

I may have been a bit harsh in my previous reply, but perhaps you'd reconsider answering?

The real question is, barring negligible and irrelevant surface tension artifacts of minuscule surfaces, what is the measured and measurable shape of waters surface at rest?

Bubbles are often spherical - does that prove the shape of the gas? The logic you are trying to employ (to play apologist) is silly!

You used a lot of words and still said nothing.

I asked two simple questions - can you really not answer either of them? In any case, I have lots to say - but I can’t and won’t make you talk to me to learn what they are!

Such are the tactics of a flat earth shill

A shill is someone being paid by (or useful idiot to) the psyop. The psyop’s purpose is to STOP you from ever seriously discussing/studying the subject (typically by saying offensively stupid things as loudly and often as possible). I want the complete opposite!

But unfortunately, that isn't me.

Great! Then ignore my diction and focus on the meaning and content instead! If you didn’t understand what I meant, or would like it rephrased into words with less syllables - just ask!

The two simple questions are :

what is the measured and measurable shape of waters surface at rest? (ignoring irrelevant meniscus effects, because they only happen with small surface area and do not curve the way the globe model requires them to in any case)

Bubbles are often spherical - does that prove the shape of the gas?

Holograms hitting the World Trade towers.

Say a bunch of true things you want to hide. Then say something batshit crazy. Most people will take the bait and attach all the true info with the batshit crazy info. They can't discern between the two, it's full dichotomy of thinking.

Another example could be The Men in Black. If you tell people about the men in black... they laugh and say it was a movie. They don't even care that the movie was a fictional spinoff of real reports. They'll never question it.

I've watched them all before. If it was some cgi hoax the planes wouldn't appear on people's home videos or pictures which is not the case. Ever pair of eyes and cameras were pointed as those buildings. Literally thousands of people saw it happen. It's a completely retarded theory. It's hijacking the theory that a plane never hit the pentagon. The fact there is no video or pictures of a plane and almost no one directly saw a plane crash there, leaves a lot of room for speculation. That is not true of the twin towers.

I've never seen any of these home videos with planes in them. All of the ones I've seen have been looking somewhere else, then panned towards the towers after the explosion. The only ones that were pointing right at the towers at the time of impact were the news cameras.

The argument about the aircraft being made of aluminium, and how that shouldn't have penetrated the steel structured building seems a bit wonky: a moderately powered lead round being fired from your average assault rifle can go straight through an aluminium car, and lead is way softer than aluminium.

Well this only seems wonkey because this is apples to oranges comparison. All of a bullets force is concentrated into one point, its designed to do that. Also the aluminum it's piercing is very thin material.

A plane is not designed to impart all of its force on one specific point. The steel framework of the tower is more of a mesh design too. I think a more accurate comparison would be chainmail vs a sword, but in this case the sword isnt even a sword.

Decades ago, a group of Libyan terrorists blew up an airliner while it was in the air over Lockerbie (UK). Large pieces of that smashed into the ground, and through loads of houses, and still remained fairly intact.

Interesting, then, how they never found anything large in the rubble of 9-11.

Are the Twin Towers the only steel structured buildings ever to supposedly collapse from a fire?

Thats what I've heard.

Steel buildings don't simply collapse from fires, even those that are on fire for days.

And on top of that, the steel was coated in asbestos. iirc Asbestos is an amazing fire retardant.

Which conspiracy theories were intentionally created to spread disinformation?

Too many to mention :( A few notable american ones; the us landed men on the moon, jfk was killed by a lone crazed gunman, federal tax dollars go to support infrastructure / benefit the nation.

My vote is for the flat-Earth theory.

There is no flat earth theory for the same reason there is no round/globe earth theory. Scientific theories simply aren’t applicable for determining the shapes of physical objects - we use measurement for that!

There is a heavily advertised (i.e. funded) flat earth psyop however, which is - as you have no doubt seen - offensively stupid and often billed as a “conspiracy”.

If you want to know why they spend so much on the flat earth psyop, and what flat earth research is really all about, please join us on the community I created to earnestly discuss it! I promise it will be worth your while if you engage earnestly!

I think more often the false theory comes in the form of something that is unknowable, but people believe it wholeheartedly.

For instance the belief that JFK Jr. is alive. Sure it could be true, but to believe it's true just because other people believe it's true makes a person look crazy.

Let me begin by saying I'm not a proponent of flat earth but I really dislike your arrogance on the matter.

Spamming flat earth is shill shit, but questioning the shape of the earth isn't.

I would like to show you how NASA determines eclipses.

The geocentric ephemeris for the Sun and Moon, various parameters, constants, and the Besselian elements (polynomial form) are given in the Table Elements of the Eclipse.

https://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEmono/reference/explain.html

You mentioned math, how did you mathematically derive the shape of the Earth? Gravity? In a vacuum? Maybe you hung up a pendulum in a room to see if it would wobble.

I would like to propose an Idea to you.

Oh wait, do you have keplars equations? Do you know how to derive those?

Let's look into G real quick, the gravitational constant.

https://byjus.com/physics/gravitational-constant/

F = m1m2/r^2

You'd have to know the mass of the Earth so how is that derived?

Precise measurement of the Earth mass is difficult

It really doesn't matter if it's flat or spherical. It doesn't change our current situation. Props to the flat earthers who kept trying but were bad at math.

Until we can escape from Earth and start colonies it really doesn't matter.

Until we have the tools to finally prove macro evolution, it really doesn't matter. Micro true by the looks of it, but macro is a whole other dinosaur so to speak.

Big bang is another one. All of this scientism bullshit that people preach doesn't provide the inquisitive mind with enough answers, it only leaves further questions.

And once that inquisitive mind gets going, it gets shut down by people who don't know better.

So if a child came to you and asked you how do you know the earth is round? You're just gonna say:

"It's math kid, better you know that"

1+1=2

One plus one equals two? I represent one; you represent one...we ain't equal; we're different. "two" does not represent a perceivable state; but the suggestion that counting perceivable ones (differences) together represents equality (sameness). This deception is all part of E Pluribus Unum (out of many one); which represents the suggested inversion of reality aka oneness (perceivable) self differentiating into many ones (perceiving).

Show me "two" things without each "one" of them existing within a different position? We cannot perceive sameness; only differences; yet others can tempt us to ignore perceivable differences for suggested sameness.

Which conspiracy theories were intentionally created to spread disinformation?

a) suggested creationism (implies out of nothing) to tempt others to ignore perceivable transmutation (implies out of everything).

b) suggested information (words) to tempt others to ignore perceivable inspiration (sound)

c) suggested intentionalism (focus on object) to tempt others to ignore being the objectified subjects, hence the temporary living within the ongoing process of dying.

d) suggested fact (affixed meaning) to tempt others to ignore that as the perceiving within all perceivable; one can only ever contemplate (theorize) over constantly changing inspiration.

e) the suggestion that conspire requires "two" in agreement with one another; while ignoring that CON (together; with) SPIRE (Latin spiro; to breathe) implies as one adapting to all impressed (perceivable).
