What should be examined is nothing about the theory itself, but how people deal with it. If you think just a little about what the shape might be, you can easily come up with 3 different tests to make the determination, and if you put your mind to it you can think up 3 more. Just like the ancients did it, none of them need special instruments or the watching of YouTube videos.
But in the 10 years the psyop has been running, I have yet to hear a single person say they have thought up such tests and described them, let alone performed them. I'm sure some have, but it's incredibly rare.
The point here is that the simple, most basic idea of science to use observation and experiment to prove or disprove basic theories about the world has been nearly completely lost.
Without directly addressing how we got here, I think the first insight is to realize that the world is not how we always very reasonably assumed that it was.
To illustrate, take the example of language skills. Just in everyday interactions (and assuming you're in an English-speaking country), virtually everyone is conversant on a similar level in English. You have to encounter a foreigner who is a beginner speaker or a retarded person before you take note of the difficulties they have.
But if you're old enough to remember the advent of email, we all got a peek for the first time into everyone's written skills. Good Lord, it turned out many people are literally barely literate! They have difficulty structuring a sentence, let alone a paragraph or a full argument. And now with the advent of texting and tweeting it has managed to degrade significantly further.
This is all a long route to saying that to figure out what the hell is going on with anything in the world, we have to closely examine where we might have gone wrong in our own thinking. (And what's funny in the current context is that this is something I have yet to witness a Flat Earther doing.)
Following the suggested progressivism of others; while ignoring to grow oneself. The parasitic few idolized scientific progress so that the ignorant many can pretend to be part of it; while they keep regressing through their ignorance.

That’s the major purpose of the heavily advertised (i.e. funded) psyop! To make sure you never encounter earnest researchers, or become one yourself! Imagine needing/wanting to spend so much to advertise that something already ostensibly stupid is too stupid to be worth looking into further!

Agreed. Please join us on the community I created to discuss and exchange our views on this important subject! I am certain we will all benefit from the discussion as long as we are earnest. We have a lot to talk about, if you are interested!

Your comment is a stack of assumptions, and has nothing to do with the actuality of the matter.
You mention tests. Here's a simple one, you don't even have to move: does water bend? Are the cargo ships now at sea tilted relative to your position? Yes or no?
Yes, I'm aware of meniscus, and you'd be right to assume that would be my reply. We both know that surface tension would produce concave/convex water surfaces only if the area were tiny enough, as depicted. Surface tension may still occur at the edge as you increase the surface area, but the rest of the water would level out. (I may be mistaken about this.)
I may have been a bit harsh in my previous reply, but perhaps you'd reconsider answering?
The real question is, barring negligible and irrelevant surface tension artifacts of minuscule surfaces, what is the measured and measurable shape of waters surface at rest?
Bubbles are often spherical - does that prove the shape of the gas? The logic you are trying to employ (to play apologist) is silly!
Flat Earth.

Our Earth is planar and motionless, a conclusion everyone comes to after having looked into flat earth
Here are some videos for anyone willing to learn more about it.

Meniscus (liquid)
I'll save you the reply and write it myself: "Ohhhh, you know what I meant!"

Same shape as your mom's penis because your mom gay
a) what comes first...the form or the flow-state of water?
b) SHAPE, verb - "to form within the mold of flow"
