That's fine; it's easy to explain all sorts of celestial phenomenon using the geocentric model. The problem is that there's no single way to explain all observable phenomenon.
So you can, for example, explain and even predict the moons movement, but the same methods can't predict how stars move, hence the idea of 12+ celestial spheres which the stars are attached to. By the same token, the methods of predicting stars geocentrically can't explain the moon or sun.
The heliocentric model explains everything with the same methodology. That's how we know that it's closer to the ultimate truth than the geocenteic model (no absolutes in science).
It's the same thing as Neutonian physics explaining reality at our scale, but not at either microscopic or macroscopic levels; it's still useful (because it's so simple) but we know there is a more correct model, even though we don't yet know what it is.

The simplest way to disprove flat Earth is to note that the Sun rises and sets in the same general direction every day of the year, anywhere you go. If the Earth was flat, like the model shown, it would rise all over the place; half the world would see it rise in the East, the other half West, and a few people would see it rise directly North or South. It's simple geometry.

Not only does it rise in the East, it does so year round, everywhere on Earth (somewhat North East or South East depending on which hemisphere you live on). The only way that could work on a flat Earth is if the world looked like the map you see in a school class room: north pole on top, south pole at the bottom, random cut-off somewhere in the Pacific, with the sun moving around the middle, which is obviously retarded. You would not be able to start from, say, New York and travel in one direction until you returned to the same place. You would not be able to cross either pole. You would have to have an edge of the world somewhere in the ocean (or on land), and at each pole, which is retarded.
If one of the poles was actually the circumference, and the other the center of a disc (which would allow us to cross the Pacific and go over at least one pole), then the sun would come up due north for some, due south for others, and every direction in between for everyone else. And that would change as the orbit of the sun rotated around the disc such that everyone would, at some point every year, see the sun rise due North and due South. But at least you would get seasons, except there would be eight of them as the places near the rising and setting sun would get summer while the places furthest would get winter. One full cycle (or year) would have two summers, two winters etc., one where the sun rises due North, one where the sun rises due South.
Oh, and everyone would experience the sunrise at the exact same time, so no time zones (unless light physics are a conspiracy theory as well).
If the sun's orbit stayed constant, you would have a permanent hot zone along it's route and permanent winter elsewhere, no change in seasons.
None of this requires any math or physics. You can replicate it with a frisbee and a tennis ball.

Look out your window when you can see the sun (or any other star) and put a sticker on the window. Now move your head close to the window, then move it back and forth. The sticker moves all over the place, relative to you, but the angle of the sun stays the same, because it's far away.
