I've also encountered exactly what you're seeing here, where people will deflect from Trump's problems by asking for a solution and no matter what you say it will get dismissed. In this case it was "doormat", in another case by another user I was called "gay" for saying my current plan is to take care of my family and community instead of investing time and energy in this sham political system.
I don't know for sure that these people are witting shills or just true believers, but notice the pattern and hopefully you won't fall into the traps

It's true, how we see things differs in this case based on how planned everything is.
