He was told never to have a private conversation anywhere near a telephone, as they could all be surveilled even when "hung up". They told him no car was safe either. If he really wanted to have a private talk, he was told to drive to an open field and walk at least 100 yards from the car.
The aspect I found really stunning was that the NSA even at that time had machinery in mail processing centers to divert snail mail they wanted to monitor. After they opened and read it, they had a variety of envelopes to "reseal" it in. I think he also mentioned they had stocks of ink and paper to modify the letters themselves.

On a serious note. margins on gas are notoriously low because gasoline is a "fungible commodity". That is, one source can easily be replaced with another so you have very high competition.
But in practice, there are only a very tiny number of refiners and importers. If they all collude, they can raise prices to any extent they like. The government is supposed to keep a lid on such collusion.
Oil has gone up, but not nearly to the extent to justify the prices. It's around $120/bbl but would have to be well over $400/bbl to justify the prices we're seeing.
So obviously, the refiners and importers are working with the government to spiral prices up as fast as they can to destroy the economy. This is not just fascism, it's 5th Generation Warfare against the United States.
The comedian's whole commentary points to one thing and one thing only: the crucial importance of the director as auteur. It's not just scripts and actors and sets, you need a unitary artistic vision ti create a compelling and moving cinematic narrative.

For those who may have some trouble imagining the internal state of the NPC, or even believing it is possible other humans live and function in such a way, almost all of us have actually personally experienced it.

It's essentially black. You could not name a single thing that happened or that you saw. You just "came to".
But think: you were operating a motor vehicle on a roadway, which is undeniably a complicated and demanding task. Tens of thousands of people every year are killed because of relatively minor errors during this activity.
That's what it's like full-time for NPCs. They live complex lives filled with all kinds of activities, but "inside", just blackness.

You know how news organizations and even ordinary people add "allegedly" when commenting publicly about potentially illegal acts another person might have done? That's to protect against legal liability, i.e. being sued for slander or libel. As I understand it, you cannot without risk even refer to someone as a "criminal" if they have not previously been convicted of a crime.
Now we see open accusations of mass murder and various other heinous acts. The accusers are no longer worried about lawsuits, and the accused don't even deign to respond to these infamous charges leveled against them.
I find it all quite surreal, compounded by the fact that no one else even seems to have taken note. Perhaps I only comment here for the historic and Akashic record.

Here's a very subtle way we're programmed to hate Nazis: in every movie we see them smoking, often in some rude or inappropriate way, like sparking up just before they blow some dude's head off. It's supposed to convey their moral dissolution, and I would say it succeeds.
But the Nazis were very anti-tobacco, and Germans smoked at 1/4 the rate of Americans at that time. Himmler, as head of the SS, forbid smoking at all of their facilities.
If Rachel Maddow ever has to addresss this, I suspect she'll say, "The Nazis just hated people relaxing with two hot lung-fulls of flavor. My body, my choice, Heinie! What total tightasses! What were they, a bunch of Republicans?"
I went looking in the article to see what they said about recovering the shotgun. SPOILER: They don't say. Is it a lie if there was literally no shotgun found on the scene and everyone simply fails to mention it?

I can't pin down the distance any more precisely because they've scraped the compound from the face of the Earth, of course.

It was strange from the get-go when he purchased the property because it was a working hog farm, not a vacation property or even virgin land. Before that. on 3/10, there's a listing for a "3rd Grade School Dance - Spring Jubilee Dance", but no location is given. Also, there are no listings for any 2nd or 4th grade dances, which makes it even stranger.
If this was a feature film, 90% of the audience would have walked out by now because of all the plot holes.
