When I was a kid, a “friend” who I smoked cigarettes with (maybe once a week behind the school) gave me a pcp/lsd laced cigarette as a “joke”. I woke up on my couch (somehow ended up home), still “tripping” and saw an angel hovering over me. It looked like a warrior holding a sword standing guard. It was pure light, but angry. I know I was still “tripping” or hallucinating (who knows) but I had the image inked on my shoulder.
I didn’t feel “violated”, but I still beat the shit out of my “friend” the next day. Because wtf.
Reminds me of a friend in military, he went to prison because he beat a dude to death with a hotel shower head for giving him a roofie in Seattle bar.. and he definitely knew he was violated. Seems justified but that’s the system we are in.
I used to listen to the "Campfire Stories" podcast by Jim Harold, where people call in with their "paranormal" type personal stories. One of the recurring types is guardian angels.
One of the stories I recall was a young pregnant woman who was carrying laundry, and she tripped at the top of a staircase. As she began to fall, she thought, "My baby or both of us are going to die." The next instant she was upright at the bottom of the stairs, no idea how she got there.
After I heard dozens and dozens of such stories, and not one of them sounded like they were lying, I thought, "Well, by far the simplest, most straightforward explanation is that guardian angels exist." So that's my tentative conclusion.
