found this rabbit hole while researching stuff from the 1700s.
TLDR this guy named Mesmer did some weird stuff with magnets trying to treat rich peoples illnesses. accidently found a way to induce a state called of mind "Somnobalisum" (a state similar to sleepwalking)
the word mesmerism comes from this guy. Anyway he was shut down a group of scientists (including Benjamin franklin) and the French revolution happened.
Fast forward to the 1800s and mad doctors found a way to induce somnobalisum without magnets. They called it hypnosis.
First step is to induce a tranced state. (shutting off the conscious mind bringing forth the subconscious, akin to a deep meditative state)
Then the second step is to induce somnobalisum by hypnotising the subconscious mind like you did with the conscious mind.
Think inception but instead of dreams its level of consciousness.
the person is now in a state of somnobalisum. they will have no memory of the event and can be influenced to do an number of different things.
over the years they did a number of experiments on people and got some interesting results
Somethings you'd expect - they could make them fall into a deep sleep, in a therapeutic setting they could influence a persons habits or help them access regressed memories.
some stuff you might not expect would be that this can be used instead of anesthesiology. meaning a real hypnotist can put you in such a deep state that you can be operated on...raw. im talking limb removal with no pain. its called Hypnotic analgesia. people have been getting this done for over 150 years.

that's not all, weirdly enough a person in a state of somnoblasim will often perform a familiar physical tasks or actions with much more ease and accuracy compared to a normal state of mind.
and they score significantly higher on "psychic tests". Actually all psychic research seems to be just a branch of hypnotism. Project stargate anyone?
thoughts?
You've hit on one of the Elite's biggest secrets: the true nature of human consciousness. As you have found, the mere fact that in several centuries there has been almost no research on this vital and most profound subject should be demonstration enough that it is, indeed, kept secret simply by making sure all ships steer clear.
The subject is, of course, wide-ranging with numerous significant ramifications in our society, but to address just one we can consider NPCs. If you recall the summer of 2019, the NPC meme boiled over and there was a huge cognitive warfare program to slam it back into the ground. It was not because "They" were concerned people would feel insulted, it was because it exposed a part of that Big Secret.
The idea that many people are NPCs is dismissed out of hand by virtually everyone. How could there be people with no higher consciousness? How could they possibly function? Well...
My guess is that about 80% of the population are NPCs, with a further 15% in only a partial state of consciousness. Ever look around or browse social media and think people are acting and reacting just like robots? They kinda are.
The Big Secret is that Elite--at some level and to some extent--know this, and thus can manipulate large populations based on that understanding. Meanwhile, some people see their friends and family watch MSNBC and think, "How can they believe that stuff?" That's the wrong question, because those people are almost certainly not processing the world in the same way as someone who could formulate that question in the first place.
A topic you may wish to look into related to what you have already uncovered is "hypnotizability". How is it possible that people could have fundamentally different levels of susceptibility to this phenomenon? It's simply all part of the hidden, true nature of consciousness.
thanks for the input, much appreciated
Yeah the hypnotizable aspect is interesting. I tried being hypnotized one and nothing happened. I never "went under" but what's wild is others among me did and that was utterly shocking to me. Perhaps that's part of why I'm in this forum today. I suspect most here are not susceptible (though some clearly are lol)
There's a related phenomenon I've experienced twice.
It typically happens to people while driving a familiar route, and that's how it happened for me. Both times I just sort of "blacked out", had absolutely no memory of the trip. Could not name a single thing I saw or that happened, but all the while I was operating a motor vehicle on a busy freeway.
So years later when I heard about NPCs, I thought, "Yeah, you can probably do almost everything a person does on a daily basis even when there's no one upstairs."
Autonomic nervous system (not the same as subconscious). It's the same system that allows us to walk or bicycle with ease
Oh no, this is something absolutely different. You'd know it in a second if you'd experienced it.
EDIT: I should mention the specific name for this phenomenon, except it does not have one (at least one of which I have ever heard). That's how suppressed this all is, further demonstration of a Big Secret.
I meant to reply earlier, but man I've had this happen to me twice. Both times were later at night driving, and the craziest part to me is that when you "come to", it all seems so nonchalant.
One of them was a solid 30-40 minutes of driving. It's much worse in retrospect than when it actually happens.
It's funny you mentioned you took it nonchalantly, because that's exactly what I did too. Never made much of it and never mentioned it to anyone for years. Then by chance I happened to read a sci-fi novel called Blindsight. Skim that section because there's some pretty freaky stuff about consciousness.
One of the points that comes out in the book is that consciousness is way overrated. The crew in the novel figures out the aliens they go out to meet in deep space are not consciousness. With a lot of background material, the author illustrates the point that you don't have to be conscious to do any of the normal things, from drive a car to build and fly an interstellar spacecraft. We all just incorrectly assume you do.
That's when I thought back and went, "Aw shit, this guy is totally right. Reality just got a lot weirder."
I was going to add (with an LOL of course) that the fact that it is worse in retrospect is kinda a Catch-22.
Like, should I find it reassuring that it has happened twice and I've been perfectly fine, or should I find that even more horrifying because it drops your guard?
AND, perhaps, that's a big bit of it. I know for certain that one time it happened was after playing pool, and there's no doubt that pool requires a certain level of zen. And maybe zen is just more being able to ALLOW your motor system to take the reins. So you are putting yourself "at risk" for such an occurrence.
I wouldn't really hesitate to hazard a guess that you were probably doing something zen-like before you had your driving episodes. But of course, you can find the zen in almost anything if you put your mind to it. It probably helps more if what you are doing involves attention and fine motor control, at least similar to the level that driving would involve. And I know that when I feel more zen-like, my general focus on visual input is far stronger than normal, as in I don't even focus my eyes directly on things that much, and peripheral vision becomes clearer and more noticeable.
I also tried to be hypnotized and it didn't do anything. I've known some psychologists that say it's not what it's made out to be. It can't bring back repressed memories. It also can't make someone do something they don't want to do.
I tried lucid dreaming with some friends once, it was a interesting experience, and I did end up having a bizarre lucid dream weeks later.
Been forever since I have had them, seemed like I stopped having them around the time I figured out how to fly or do whatever I wanted. There were so many dreams were I was like. Ok my moms alive even though she died years ago, this obviously isnt real. Try to fly only to fall on my face lol.
My dad, promised me not to get into the hypnotism stuff. I dont know if he was yanking my leg or what. But he claimed when he was 16, his family had him in a boys school type deal. He was the trouble maker in the family and was getting in trouble constantly, so he was sent to this school for a couple years to try and discipline him. Later on he was the only one in the family who didnt go to college and him and his dad butted heads over it quite a bit.
Anyway, found a book about hypnotism in the library ( so he claimed ). And read it and tried it on one of his classmates one friday night.
Claims he couldnt get the guy to snap out of it and he went insane.
My dad wasnt really the type to just straight up lie, he was a story teller so he would embellish the truth sometimes, but the look of regret on his face whenever he would tell this story made me believe there could have been some truth to it.
Others suggest one to hold onto truth; one (life) cannot hold onto nature (inception towards death) without being forced to let go. How long can one hold onto truth; while getting contradicted by lies, before being forced to let go?
Foundation (same motion) generates Level (balance aka momentum of motion) for Differences (choice at center of balance).
Others tempt one to choose "fundamentally different levels", while ignoring to be difference within level of fundamental sameness. Choosing another choice (consenting to suggested) implies ignoring balance (level).
Others suggest one to play games by suggesting more levels to choose from....
I'm sure the flashing lights and the starburst that the TV puts out is intended to make us susceptible to suggestion. I've seen too many people repeat the same words verbatim. So there's something going on....
Surprised how much this comes up around here but yeah you should look into the CIA report on the "Gateway Process". It's basically about how it's possible to get into the greater conscience, they call it "The Absolute" and gain access to a lot of weird stuff.
(there is a link to the doc on the CIA's Website if you wanna venture there but it's missing one page, the page about how it makes people feel like they are one with the universe and peace w/ everything it's included in the first link, just including proof that the CIA declassified this stuff about 10 years ago)
I can get the audio files that go along with it too if people are interested.
Out of curiosity, do you believe the ability (to an extent, even curiosity) to tap into a higher conscious runs in bloodlines? Nature vs nurture, I guess.
That touches on genetic memory. If you could potentially influence future generations of your family/bloodline to give them an advantage, why wouldn’t you? This is a natural drive.
The problem lies in using it for nefarious reasons. While most people want the best for their future generations, some will stop at no end to not only provide an advantage, but also will sabotage others.
I think it would be naive to say this hasn’t happened and still isn’t happening today. Is it happening with this?
According to the files anybody can do it, just some have a harder time getting past their mental hangups about it. IE: just think it's fake and can't suspend disbelief, but even then it seems like the guy could train them to do it on some level.
That would be awesome. thx!
Sure here is a link to the FLAC version
I would steer clear of this- I’m paranoid of being under someones suggestions- I feel like it’s just another entry point of the demonic. No Thanks.
The way it works is, if you understand what a hypervisor is in software, it works exactly like that. Hypnosis cuts in between the conscious processes and the subconscious, and allows stopping connections or altering connections from some sensory inputs too.
I've directly studied this as well as consciousness. There's a number of subtle mind hacks that don't rise to the full level of hypnosis but that can alter your behavior. Priming for instance. A lot of this takes advantage of limitations in our information processing centers and overloads sensory perception so as to limit cognitive interpretation. Subliminal is one way to do this. Supraliminal is also actually one too (picture LRAD tech). AMA if you're interested- also note comment below.
Adding here: consider the show "severance" in connection to this thread and their goals.
Yes it works. Words correctly said and certain order can have a profound effect. Turn off your television, it's brainwashing you via commercials at the very least.
You're at the introduction stage to a long story.
I started my own interest in hypnosis when I witnessed a farmer neighbor, who had done an act in a traveling circus, hypnotize my cousin and made her act like a chicken.

Television placed viewers in a hypnotic state.
Note the swinging pendulum commercial playing on national tv station when it broke the news that jfk had been shot.
Someone hypnotized me without my permission to quit smoking. He didn’t like it. Worked for about four months and my subconscious figured it out. He admitted it. There needs to be consent or it’s akin to rape.
I've been interested in hypnosis for the last 35 years. I read some books about the history and scope of hypnosis, as well as the efficacy. A lot of the book focused on the CIA's experiments. There were a few points regarding hypnosis that are fairly interesting.
When in a hypnotic state, you don't hear negatives. So when I say, "I do not want to be hypnotized", the hypnotized subject hears, "I do want to be hypnotized". You have to phrase all of your programming using only positives.
You can make a person do anything. Even if they would never kill a person in real life, you can trick them into doing it anyway. You tell them they are holding a banana and to point it at a person and squeeze.
Hypnosis is like programming a pc. You can program a person to react to post-hypnotic suggestions or stimuli. This means that even when they are no longer in a state of hypnosis, a trigger word or other cue will put them back in a hypnotic state to fulfill their programming. You can layer the programming with great complexity, using many post-hypnotic triggers to engage the subject's programming at different times. A hypnotized subject also has an eidetic memory, so they can be used to pass coded messages that will only be delivered after the correct trigger is applied.
I learned the basics about hypnosis when I was a kid, and it made me paranoid enough that I attempted to use self-hypnosis to shield myself from other people attempting to hypnotize me. I would write out a detailed script and then record it (on cassette tapes in the early days). I would play it at night on repeat so that I heard it while I was falling asleep as well as throughout the whole night while I was asleep. I was careful to cover all of the delivery methods, using phrases like, "You will ignore any suggestions, commands, or requests made by any other entity that contain any manner of subterfuge." I used the word entity to account for devices or aliens (cause who knows?).
When the world became digital and mp3 players became a thing, I moved my scripts to mp3 players. One night around 2005 I was listening to my script as I was falling asleep and I suddenly heard a female voice clearly say, "riiiiight," in a very dry and amused tone. This was right after that part of the script where I had told myself to ignore any commands from other entities. I woke up all of the way and jumped back 10 seconds and listened again. That same voice was there, just as dry and amused. I listened to it a 3rd time in growing concern and finally reaching over to wake my wife up. As I listened to it the 4th time, the voice was gone.
The voice had seemed very amused, as if my attempts at blocking outside input was utterly futile. To this day I am not convinced that it wasn't just someone on the other side of our simulation having fun pranking me.
Anyway, I definitely think most of our minds are like Windows 95 computers just waiting for the nearest hacker to break through our non-existent security and rummage around in our minds. I have no idea if my attempt at self-programming works at all, but it makes me feel better about my chances of not being hacked so easily.
I have also spent time hypnotizing friends while we were experimenting with the process. One of the most important things for a successful session is that the person doing the hypnosis is seen as a strong authority figure. We think part of this process is also dependent on the hypnotist having the will power to push these commands out, but we never found a way to show any evidence of that.
People that have disdain for authority figures of all types and don't hold anyone in high regard are less likely to be as suggestible (be able to by hypnotized).
Yes. And 98% of people on earth are currently in hypnotic trance.
Very few people are meaningfully awake.
And Mesmerism goes much deeper than hypnotism. It is the control of life force essence, not just the mind.
Dig deeper.
Start with "What is a thought, chemically, physically, electrically?" and go from there.
"What causes a thought to occur?" "How are memories the same or different?" "Why are some thoughts called 'brooding'?"
You can intuit a lot of answers through self-reflection.
Ones consent to the suggestion by another, hence binding self to crafted spells. Consent enables suggestion aka permits authority over suggested upon another.
As for animal magnetism aka emanation (flowing from an origin)...being implies magnetic form (life) within electric flow (inception towards death).
Other suggest "animal" to distract from animation, and "magnetism" to tempt ones consent to hold onto the suggested -ism, which destabilizes magnetic being. Consent attracts (parasitic suggestion); while tempting one to ignore to repel aka RE (respond to) PELLO (being driven by perceivable).
Try repelling suggested -isms by withdrawing given consent.
Sleight of hand: breaking isn't that bad if you know how magnets work (jesse survived).
