Flat earth, no matter how well meaning its adherents may be, is designed to divert attention from other things the government and others do not want you to see.

I’ve tested for curvature myself. There is none. If you truly want to know the truth, you’ll test for yourself.

I used an island I can see from my balcony, and found out it’s height (on public record). Then I used distance.to (as the crow flies) to determine the distance between where I was standing and the island. Then I used the altimeter in my phone compass app (held at eye height). Then I used about 5 different earth curve calculators, and all of them determined that, that island should be completely behind the horizon. But I can see it everyday, unless it’s raining. Then I re-did all the steps from different locations. This was after trying to debunk it, and then being on the fence for about 18 months.

You need a camera with a powerful telephoto lens like a Nikon P900/P1000. So many people have done this over the past 10 years you can save yourself the effort unless you think they're all liars. Taboo Conspiracy does the simplest tests with lasers around lakes in Utah. I think his latest test picked up a laser about 17 miles away that was two feet off the ground that should have been hidden by almost 200 feet of curvature. He's done dozens of these experiments as have hundreds of other people.

But if you REALLY wanted to do this yourself you'll need the camera at a minimum. You could also do this with a GPS-equipped boat on the ocean. The only difficulty with this method is that waves can cause you a lot of problems and block objects in the distance as well as humidity, condensation, etc. Larger lakes on calm days are easier to test with.

Here's Taboo Conspiracies channel if you want to try and emulate his methods: https://odysee.com/@TabooConspiracy:c

Good luck!

I remember all this seemingly starting with Eric Dubay. I also remember looking up a lot of questions that people pose like “Why can I see Chicago from over yonder?” and finding long explanations on physics forums from 10 years before.

Being that I’ll listen to almost any theory, I’ve watch hours of Flat Earth discussions. So, I basically agree that it’s a big time sink that came up when a lot of other issues, like “elite” pedophilia were coming to the normies’ attention.

Hey, that's not entirely true.

They also make up some other bullshit claim and forget they ever claimed the first one.

Still waiting to hear how time zones work on FE. Not to mention why the sun doesn't come up in completely different directions depending on the time of year. Or even seasons, come to think of it.

I didn't see any "inconsistency pointed out"?

1
Hand_Of_Node 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ah, thanks. Now I see it, but clicking context just went to all comments...

That was just a general observation from reading flatter threads. Rather than ballers and flatters exchanging random claims and insults, I believe a superior effort by flatters would be taking a professor dave video and debunking it point by point. Dave says seasons can't work as we see on a flat earth. Explain the theory and how seasons prove flat earth.

Should be easy to do if the earth is flat, and successfully debunking someone like dave would get a LOT of attention.

why do fed fags agree with kikepedia on conspiracies?

why do you never use physical evidence?

why do you fags use the same tactics as libtards?

3
WeedleTLiar 3 points ago +5 / -2

"Kikepedia" says white people exist, is that a lie too? Do you just assume everything is a lie, because of the source? Doesn't that basically make you as stupid as a person beleiving everything on "kikepedia" is true?

1
Hand_Of_Node 1 point ago +1 / -0

Haven't heard that one before, but "if" they do, I have no idea. Is there a particular stance on conspiracies by kikepedia to agree with?

I use physical evidence quite often. (But can I assume here you're referring to using physical evidence over the internet? The main reason is because that's impossible.)

Hmm, you almost have me stumped on that one. If I were to take a guess, your perception of "using the same tactics" likely stems from your unfamiliarity with language, rhetoric, and logic.

I wrote a really stupid report about how thimerosal in vaccines wasn't so bad. Boom, my kid has autism. Well, I still argued with "anti-vaxxers". Obviously they were idiots and far too distrusting of life-saving technology. Obviously there was no connection. Boom the scamdemic happens. Suddenly it's too hard to ignore.

I get where you are. I get where flat earthers are. Considering the deeper narratives about the deception of history, the mud flood itself, which is generally tied to the flat earth community. Even the Tartarians. There's a lot more to it than "the earth is flat". I doubt it actually is flat personally or that mountains are prehistoric castles, but I'm intrigued with the deep level exploration and questions.

What do I know? What does anyone know?

2
Oldmancountry17 2 points ago +3 / -1

Exactly. When you realize that you, yourself, are a walking experiment, that we've been lied to, about everything, our whole lives. Is jaw dropping at first. But realize, that's when you win. Your eyes are open. The world sleeps, except for the chosen few.

0
WeedleTLiar 0 points ago +1 / -1

The chosen few now paralyzed by doubt.

You know nothing and you can't tell the difference between lies and truth.

1
MostlyPeacefulNATO 1 point ago +1 / -0

Worrying about "lies and truth" is what paralyzes and robotizes people. It's liberating to do and say what you want, without fear of alienating someone or accepting a "lie".

I swear, the general sentiment of both conservatives and liberals is either doing the opposite what the other side thinks or trying to just fit in with one of the tribes. Of course this is a very simplified observation, but look at how both sides are completely compliant within their tribe. Is that not being paralyzed?

Be free. Stay free.

1
925thejoyisgone 1 point ago +6 / -5

Dude, just research yourself. You just look outside. Think about 8 inches per mile squared and where is the curve? That's all you need to focus on at first, to break the programming and start asking fundamental questions. About why long expose photos are always on a perfect circle. Earth had a wobble, right? What about how the north star, polaris is somehow always above the north pole, its just a random star out in space...how does our orbit always just point there. Do we wobble and spiral? As the sun moves too. North pole, just always sticking there like we are a magic gravity balls that spins perfectly around and orbits while always pointing to the same random start. Our star pattern is too perfect for blasting through space. Anyway. Its actually really easy to figure out without needing to trust anyone. But a guide helps. There is a lot to learn about the real.world

2
WeedleTLiar 2 points ago +6 / -4

Wtf is "8 inches per miles squared"? Miles squared is an area, not a distance; you can't measure the drop over an area because it would be different in different places within the area.

Do you actually just vehemently believe FE because you don't understand how units work?

And yes, that stuff about Polaris is exactly how it works. It doesn't matter that we wobble because Polaris is so far away that it makes no difference.

Look out your window when you can see the sun (or any other star) and put a sticker on the window. Now move your head close to the window, then move it back and forth. The sticker moves all over the place, relative to you, but the angle of the sun stays the same, because it's far away.

Everything you say to "prove" FE is just questioning the heliocentric model. FE explains nothing, and so you explain nothing, just question and doubt.

At what point do you, and people hearing you, start to suppose that the reason you "question everything" is because you know nothing?

3
AnonymousFrog 3 points ago +3 / -0

The North Star changes.

https://www.almanac.com/fact/does-the-north-star-ever-changer-in

Most of these people haven’t studied enough physics to understand the mainstream arguments.

2
925thejoyisgone 2 points ago +5 / -3

No man, its not an area. Ihttps://ibb.co/MSZDp7Y

The earth should curve in all directions by 8 inches per mile squared (not "miles" ). Or you can use the table I linked above. Go ahead. Tell me I'm stupid while you don't even get what flat earthers are trying to show you. You just miss out on someone trying to help you deprogram.

I was there too. Where u still are. It seems stupid AF, questioning the shape of the earth...I couldn't even see why it mattered. Our programming is intense. https://streamable.com/ih9et2

It takes a real adult not to be afraid of flat earth. Able to entertain ideas without ego debilitating your effort.

Like how you just blew off the polaris proof. The star trails from long exposer are a perfect circle. Yet our earth wobbles, you think the camera on long exposure should show the star trails would match our rotation, not be a perfect circle because we do not rotate in a perfect circle, they say. Also, the stars would be circile around polaris one night and then a week later, the north pole, our rotation would be pointed at some other Ransome star.

You don't really think people are so stupid to "believe" the earth is flat without compelling evidence, do you? We can't be so easily led. You have to think outside the box

The FE earth model is not a believe, its what we observe. And it explains all the things we observe, like seasons, time zones, eclipses, mid night sun in the north and no 24 hour sun in the south (but you will see fake video of that)

There are more than a hundred proofs that blow heliocentricity out of the water. Flat earth is loaded with evidence, mountains of proof. While no one can prove we are on a round ball unless they use photos from space...which must be CGI, because the earth doesn't curve at 8 inches per mile squared. Look for yourself. The horizon is always flat, no matter how high you go. If we lived on a ball that curved THAT much, you would notice the curve from a building top, and it would beyond obvious from an airplane. They got you fooled thinking its too big to notice. Look at the math on that chart I sent. That's what you believe and don't even know it.

Afks 0 points ago +2 / -2

You would understand what 925 means by 8 inches per mile, squared, if you had taken the time to listen to what the FE side has to say

0
925thejoyisgone 0 points ago +2 / -2

ya, moon is a disk probably, but who knows. that can't be proven from what i can see here. There is no faith required to know a few things about the moon, since they can be observed. the moon is local like the sun, and about the same size as the sun, the moon gives off its own light source, it also creates cold temperature, and no one has even landed on it.

The sun rises in the East. Don't even need to quote wikipedia for that one.

Not only does it rise in the East, it does so year round, everywhere on Earth (somewhat North East or South East depending on which hemisphere you live on). The only way that could work on a flat Earth is if the world looked like the map you see in a school class room: north pole on top, south pole at the bottom, random cut-off somewhere in the Pacific, with the sun moving around the middle, which is obviously retarded. You would not be able to start from, say, New York and travel in one direction until you returned to the same place. You would not be able to cross either pole. You would have to have an edge of the world somewhere in the ocean (or on land), and at each pole, which is retarded.

If one of the poles was actually the circumference, and the other the center of a disc (which would allow us to cross the Pacific and go over at least one pole), then the sun would come up due north for some, due south for others, and every direction in between for everyone else. And that would change as the orbit of the sun rotated around the disc such that everyone would, at some point every year, see the sun rise due North and due South. But at least you would get seasons, except there would be eight of them as the places near the rising and setting sun would get summer while the places furthest would get winter. One full cycle (or year) would have two summers, two winters etc., one where the sun rises due North, one where the sun rises due South.

Oh, and everyone would experience the sunrise at the exact same time, so no time zones (unless light physics are a conspiracy theory as well).

If the sun's orbit stayed constant, you would have a permanent hot zone along it's route and permanent winter elsewhere, no change in seasons.

None of this requires any math or physics. You can replicate it with a frisbee and a tennis ball.

Unless the FE crowd can show somewhere on Earth where the sun rises due North or South, the Earth cannot be flat and, in fact, must be the surface of a three dimensional shape, probably a sphere. Fucking chuds...

The flat Earth model doesn't explain why the sun sets. The flat earth model says the sun just hovers around different parts of the earth. Meaning it should just get smaller OVER the horizon, not set nor rise from the horizon.

I'm fairly open minded. I remain unconvinced the earth is flat.

I am not sure if those experiments are accurate. If they are, I find that pretty damning of what we've been told about the Earth. No?

1
brahbruh 1 point ago +1 / -0

I 100% agree. I don't "believe" in any model, because most of what we believe about basically everything was taught to us, from a young age, by government employees in a reeducation camp. It makes no sense that the earth would be flat and that space is fake, and it's embarrassing to admit that I am interested in the stuff, but it's simply impossible to ignore, once you see them, the videos of space and Mars and the space station being faked, and the lasers / windmills / etc. reaching so far beyond the horizon that they should be dozens of feet below the horizon, and then you see horizon behind them, etc. I recommend this guy's videos: https://odysee.com/@TabooConspiracy:c

2
Gesirisi 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not sure if it was you or someone else posted Taboo the other day and I went on a SPREE. Really enjoy it. I find these guys really seem to make sensible points. And then when the Token Scientist in the comments chimes in its always wildly complex and difficult to understand. This concerns me because in all my years, I've always felt that truth can be explained simply. Austrian economics is very simple but when you hear it, it clicks, it makes sense. Keynesianism, the government lie economics, is overly complex and confusing. So when I hear that well, the reason the Earth curve might SEEM wrong is because of THIS chart and THIS phenomenon that happens due to THIS ratio which can be calculated using the Duagagmaloof Continuum to the square root of Cockabooloo, I am now looking sideways at them. And then the FE stuff just snaps in- ah, this astronaut is lying. Ah, the horizon is still flat on Mount Everest. Ah, the satellites have damn balloons attached to them. But then yes, it is embarrassing and hard to talk about with people. And frankly I just can't really be sure if the conspiracy vids are being truthful or if the tests they do were accurately conducted. What a conundrum it all is. But as time passes, if you held my hand to the fire and forced me to choose, in my uncertainty I am more convinced that massive lies are being fed to us. Massive. And if it could ever be proven it would, in my view, wake people up IMMEDIATELY. Even the sleepiest normie would instantly wake up if FE was legit and could be proven. But....is it? Can it? Remains to be seen.

1
brahbruh 1 point ago +1 / -0

Firstly, I ROFLMAO @ "Duagagmaloof Continuum".

Secondly, I could not agree more with your sentiment about Austrian School versus Keynesian. I remember back in the day how shocked I was when I learned that the "economics" programs available in every major university in the United States were teaching Keynesian "economics".

It was me who mentioned Taboo, maybe a week ago.

I feel the same way, that I'm not sure what to believe, but that I'm certain NASA is lying and using CGI and that there are at least some satellites up there on balloons, and all the other stuff. It's just the implications are so enormous. If it's true, what does that mean? Are we living in a petri dish, is the world much bigger and broken into zones, etc. it's all so ridiculous, but also... impossible to ignore.

3
HeagleArt 3 points ago +3 / -0
