It's amusing the negative response I'm getting here, seems people think I am pro vax for remembering what people like Cahill were saying.
People are regressing to the centrist "everyone was over-reacting, except me".
But my point is people were claiming "everybody (or 50%) dead in 2 (or 3 or 5 or 10) years"

In "War and Peace" Pierre Bezukhov joins the Freemasons and Tolstoy describes it as a Christian secret society. Bezukhov joins to try and reform society and seek some influence. Ultimately his projects fail because he loses interest in them.
Tolstoy knows a lot about Freemasonry but there is no evidence other than that he was ever a mason.
It's not a central theme of the book but used as a vehicle for Bezukhov's character development.
