Asian countries have 2 problems. One, they tend to be more collectivist than individualist. Social harmony. Which I’ll say has many benefits, it promotes assimilation from outsiders, even temporary ones (on a balance of probabilities) But when it comes to violation of individual rights, this helps breed subjugation of the masses because no one wants to stand out and everyone suffers in silence.
The second problem is many Asian countries already had a societal practice of wearing masks in public which made it easier for people to just go along with the government demands. Which I’ll actually agree the practice before covid was good! The only people who wore masks were people sick, with a running nose, and due to cramped subways didn’t want to leak all over a stranger they were snuggled up on. I can respect that. When I’ve used public transit I can’t tell how many times I’ve been grossed out by disgusting individuals who have no respect for others.
But it does need to end everywhere. People need to see how mask wearing has been co-opted to oppress, subjugate, and more importantly DEHUMANIZE humanity.
I went to winndixie a few months back wearing a Jazz hat and while I was waiting in line at customer service, a soy boy faggot bagger in a mask came up to me and said “is that a Utah Jazz hat? did you hear about John Stockton?”

Snowden fled before anything was leaked, was already out of the country, so not only were they surprised when he stole the info, they were chasing him across multiple countries and he eventually got stuck in Russia (Not his final destination), which I think actually benefited him since Russia is not an ally or associated ally.
Assange was releasing thing normally because he is a journalist. So they knew where he was and hated him, coming up with bullshit accusations etc, and finally after a while they were just like “okay go arrest him” but he didn’t have the opportunity to escape because he was comfortable thinking they wouldn’t cross that line, so his only option was a last minute plea to the Ecuadorian embassy. He never left the country and now was prisoner because if he left he would be arrested immediately. Ecuador did a good job insulating him for a while, but globalist powers can influence Ecuador far more than Russia, so now he is in custody.
TLDR: It just comes down to their situations imo. Snowden KNEW he was violating a law to leak, so he had the advantage in escaping. Assange was literally just being a journalist and they bum rushed him and he had limited options.

I actually miss working in an office. A previous job I had I worked on the weekends and I could work from home since no one was in the office but I would still go in.
