I think this place is more controlled than most people think. As for the fall of humanity, it won't happen (they need us to slave for them) but I think they will allow regional conflicts in the US to get bad sometimes, for a number of reasons. But not entire world. Organized chaos instills fear content, justification for heavy use and growth of Police and military, and more big brother shit.
You can't know where it's gonna happen, prepping would be important but still, horrible experience and dangerous in the small chance "it" happens where you are. Some parts of US and Europe are going down, for sure, other parts will remain safe....but rolling the dice isn't my idea of strategy's either.
