I could see this scenario. The only modernities and modern combat tech they have, they either copied or stole. Their newest assault rifle......copied from Western designs..... Their infantry night vision goggles..... Aren't night vision goggles, they are cameras...... The state stole the people's desire to innovate, own property, own the fruit of their labor and IP and as a result must steal everything from their superiors. If America falls, how can China stand without us? It would be like cutting your legs out from under you. We hold China up.

Dude, aluminum gets red hot at 500 degrees, melts not far above that. I did smelting in HS, aluminum doesn't take much to melt. During the camp fire, I did cleanup operations. Police cut into every gun safe in the debris to "prevent" looting. Only, this was done post fire. Every aluminum firearm was an aluminum puddle with a burned steel barrel. We came across a LOT of guns. Pretty much only barrels, slides, and revolver frames survived the fire but were not repairable. Aluminum does not survive fires, period.

This has been posted multiple times. Someone even posted a video of some guy making the accusation, but it wasn't clear video from what I recall and the guy was of no known importance that I was aware of. Wish I could remember the name. The proof of this is only circumstantial.... They keep finding human DNA during QC testing, but that's easily explained away. Wish I had more, but I doubt there is anything solid publicly available. It's just a rumor till something solid comes of it.

Unfortunately, this story isn't real. I bought into it until I disovered is was a story that was pure fiction and published into the library of congress as such. Pretty easy to find the sauce on this.
Yes. This was a serious problem for the US Bay bridge and will continue to be for decades until it goes down. QC issues were so bad, they had to send US inspectors overseas to the Chinese prefabrication site to QC all the materials and construction and they still had issues.
