I was taught about slavery and the system that perpetuated it in my public school (grad 1984). We should teach the UGLY truth about everything. I am sure if the ugly truth had been taught about a lot of history, we might not be in the situation we are in currently. I am trying to understand and document the adverse effects based on women, men, children, and people of different ethnic groups. That is all. I found it strange that all of the videos I have seen are from white men or about white men.
