The grand scientific “theory” of “it’s all a coincidence”. Like so many other “theories”, it is exclusively for the gullible and the stupid.

It is better to recognize that you don’t know, and admit that, than to accept a delusion as reality to protect your pride and hide your ignorance.

Most all of astronomy is pseudoscience/mythology/religion misrepresented as science. Understanding why that is, and how to discern pseudoscience from actual science is very important. Most people are scientifically illiterate to ensure that they can’t!

Please join us on flatearthresearch to discuss and explore concepts like this! In my view the reason the sun and moon appear the same size is because they are intimately linked (perhaps they share the same source). The sun is an ionization effect of our air, and the moon is too. Neither is comprised of rock, nor can be landed upon.

2 questions (1 serious and 1 joke)

  1. Must someone discover a “flat earth conspiracy”? Can’t they just discover that the world may not be spherical the way they are taught?

In my view, there is no conspiracy. People are just wrong, like always.

  1. Can’t the person doing the “discovering” be a female?

Good question! If you have any others, and are interested in some alternative perspectives on them - please join us on flatearthresearch to explore and exchange them!

The density gradient in our air tends to cause light to curve convexly towards the ground. That bending becomes less and less extreme as you increase altitude, because the density decreases as you rise. In addition to this, ultimately that density is responsible for a “fog”/“haze” that prevents you from seeing anything further. Because the density of the air you are looking at is lesser from higher altitudes, the distance to that “fog”/“haze” point (where you can’t see further, because light from distant objects can’t reach you anymore) is also greater. These are the 2 main reasons.

“It has been found that the best time to institute tyranny, is in the nursery.”

This is one of the reasons that we are steeped in the globe mythology so terribly young. It conditions/trains us to deny our own experience/observation and reasoning ability and instead always appeal (abjectly) to “authority” that “knows better”. It makes us better slaves, aka citizens.

The scientific laws of hydrostatics have stood essentially unchallenged for more than 3 centuries. (Liquid) Water cannot, by its very nature, curve convexly while at rest in the manner the globe model requires. To force it to do so against its nature (and arguably against the “at rest” caveat in the laws of hydrostatics) would require fantastic amounts of limitless energy. Fundamentally this is the flaw (sadly, by no means the only one, mind you) that newton introduced into physics with his magical christian god gravity. W = mg, mathematically describes matter perpetually accelerating in order to have weight. Things cannot perpetually accelerate. That is a fundamental violation of the conservation of energy, an example of perpetual motion, and just plain stupid. Where would the infinite energy even come from? Sure it would be nice if such infinite energy existed for us to harness, but it is clearly fantasy.

I encourage those interested in this subject to join us to further explore and exchange our views on it over at flatearthresearch!

WTF happened?

Lol. The MIC happened, and compartmentalization.

The “documentary” unacknowledged touches on it as “the lost century”. You may enjoy watching it, but remember that it is entertainment and not to be trusted.

To my knowledge the fastest craft today are “hypersonic” and supposedly work by creating pockets/bubbles/low pressures around the craft to reduce drag significantly. Supposedly they work in water and air by similar principles. They are not available to us in any case, and may be fictional.

Laugh all you want, but such wild speculations misrepresented as science are very common.

Tectonic “theory”, the cause of volcanoes and earthquakes, the sun is a giant ball of gas, the earth has a molten “geodynamo”, spontaneous creation (life just made itself) etc.

The list goes on and on. The one thing we can be certain of is that future generations will mock and deride us for believing such unscientific tripe.

Meteor “extinction events” and such things are nothing more than chicken little grade fear porn. It’s very sad that anyone mistakes “armageddon”, and such shitty movies, for reality :(

If you are ever interested in exploring possible answers to your question (or others you may have on the subject) you might consider asking it (earnestly) over on flatearthresearch.

Reality is stranger than fiction because fiction is obliged to possibility.

You may want to ask your question over at flatearthresearch for other perspectives.

How are meteors getting in if there is a firmament in place?

There are many thoughts/speculations on the matter. However, in general - there is extremely limited support for large “meteors” hitting the earth and/or making craters. It’s a speculation, misrepresented as science.

jack445566778899 3 points ago +3 / -0

No, no, that’s just a grid for “very important science” that they do... You know, like twirling a ball on a string. Super cutting edge stuff :P

If you are interested in the topic of the firmament and/or rainbows (or other related topics) please join us to explore and exchange our views further on flatearthresearch.

It is possible that a curved (and reflective) firmament could be involved in the curved rainbow, but it is by no means necessary/certain.

The rainbow is actually circular, and the bottom typically gets clipped off by the ground due to the angle of the light.

The rainbow is circular because the refractor/prism (water droplets) has a circular (-ish) cross section.

There are a few threads about the topic (both rainbows and the firmament) over on flatearthresearch you may want to check out and/or contribute your thoughts/questions to!

How do you refute something like this:

You don’t refute reality / a sound observation!

You merely understand it differently.

In your learned view, the view in this picture is caused by the “curve of the earth” getting in the way of the bottom of the windmills.

In my view, refraction through the standard density gradient (tending to cause light to curve convexly towards the water/ground) is responsible for the effect.

You may be interested in discussing / exploring differing views as well as exchanging your own over on flatearthresearch!

This is another good question which there are already threads about over on flatearthresearch. Check em out!

In my view, gravity is caused by the interplay between an object and a displaced media which weighs less than it. It is not an attractive force of any kind, nor is “spacetime” real or in any way “warped”.

There is a lot more to discuss on this topic if you are interested!

There are many views on this. In my view the answer is balloons (or a more esoteric method), and orbit (as we know it) began as and remains complete fiction.

Why do they use symbols and ideas from ancient Egypt?

Because they are nostalgists, obsessed with tradition, the “old guard”, and the old hierarchies. Basically the same reason that fraternities use/worship ancient greek.

Is this an unbroken lineage/ideology that has lasted since those times?

It’s highly unlikely. It’s probably a “resurgence” / “reappropriation” at some point in the past (perhaps even several centuries ago) like the modern day druids. Occult cosplay.

Wtf is really going on?

As general as possible - i suspect it all to be a test. More specifically it is a group of callous, ignorant [evil] slavers mindlessly enslaving their own kind for shortsighted perceived (but not actual) personal gain.

There is no "research".

Says the person that flatly refuses to research the subject. Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance. You could recognize that there IS research, AND engage in it if you only chose to. Or you can continue to remain ignorant. So it is with most every topic/subject - right?

You say empirical evidence doesn't matter.

When did I say that? Can you provide/cite an example of that?

I say the absolute opposite. Empirical (i.e. scientific) evidence is what matters most!

Yes it does

Now you’re just being silly. If you actually think encouraging independent research is the same as encouraging pedophilia/degeneracy - you are one sick puppy. Independent research skills are critical to being a capable student, and human being. F*cking kids, on the other hand - makes you a monster/demon.

It proposes that everything is relative to your personal perspective, just like "minor attracted people" think they're one of a hundred genders.

As I’ve said already, we are in agreement. This “objective reality is what I feel like it is” is a degenerate scam and an attack on science (as well as the children :()

I don’t say anything like this, which is why you can’t find any example of me doing so. I say the opposite!

Exactly what I said

Right, and I said as well! I hope you now recognize that we are agreeing with one another, and you are mistaken about my perspective (and/or have mistaken me for someone else)!

If you've ever used a map before you would know this is complete bullshit

You are being silly again. Maps are tools for use, nothing more. They don’t contain, nor do they need to, the shape of the entirety of the world. Even topographical maps, which do contain SOME of that detail do not contain its entirety and measure elevations in regards to sea level (not the shape of the world)! This is a common, and popularized, misconception! There is a LOT to research about this subject, but you won’t ever recognize that if you choose not to engage in the research yourself (and stop playing witting/unwitting apologist)!

Commie

I am against commies. You have no examples to support your claim, which is why you fail to provide any.

Saying objective reality depends on your feelings isn't being "skeptical"

Again, we are in agreement! I don’t do anything of the sort, and never have or would!

1
jack445566778899 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks for responding earnestly! I hope i can clear some things up, as i now understand better where you’re coming from.

Like communists "encourage child sex research and discussion"

Yes, ahem, “communists” do do that :(

But flat earth research isn’t degeneracy nor encouraging of it. Right?

You can argue/justifiably feel that it is merely a waste of time - sure. But it doesn’t encourage f*cking kids, turning boys to girls or vice versa (as if either were actually possible in reality and not just dissociative disorder and mutilation...), or miscegeny.

you're just pushing your ideas on people that think you're a disgusting weirdo.

I am sharing my views in the hopes of refinement, and i don’t see anything “disgusting” about the subject matter. I know you find it rationally offensive, as you are intended/taught to - but what exactly about it do you find “disgusting”? Is it just because considering ideas so ostensibly stupid is “verboten”?

And you're doing it under the guise of "tolerance".

Not at all! Fuck tolerance with a hot iron pike. I am pro empathy, love, mercy, and pity - however. Do you have an example which you could point to? It might help me to understand why you think that.

The whole "I thought this place was for cOnSpIrAcIeS" self victimization I'd inexorably communist.

I also don’t do this! Are you sure you aren’t confusing me with someone else? Again, providing an example where you have observed me doing this may help me to understand what you mean.

In my view, flat earth research - and especially determining the shape of the world with certainty as an independent researcher - has nothing to do with “cOnSpIrAcIeS” and talk of such things is generally directly across purposes to it (red herring).

school or and government is the propagandist

This is true, obviously.

so we have to be MORE propagandist than them because they're the REAL propagandists

I absolutely disagree with this. If we adopt the ways of our enemy, we become our enemy. We need to be very careful not to do that; it’s an easy trap to fall into. I don’t just avoid propaganda or propagandizing - i avoid argument writ large, as i consider it a form of manipulation. I encourage independent study, and though i share my views - it is not for the purposes of prosthelytization/conversion/convincing. As you saw in this thread - I shared my view, but did not provide much if any support for it.

We're saving people with our propaganda " is a linchpin of communism.

Vain liars always say/think such things to absolve themselves of their egregious crimes. If we are not diligently honest with ourselves, we have no chance at being honest with others. The ends never justify the means, and from unclean means comes an unclean result. I agree that governments/politicians (including communist/s) are always guilty of this, and ought to be ashamed and punished for doing so.

Objective facts don't mean anything to your "lived experience "

My perspective is the complete opposite. Science is about the objective study of manifest external reality and the suppression of such bias (as “lived experience”).

The objective facts support that the world is not, and cannot, be the shape we are taught. But it takes a lot of study to recognize and appreciate why. From my perspective, as I favor a scientific approach, flat earth research has everything to do with objective fact (which is best derived, perhaps only derived, through rigorous application of the scientific method).

That said, “facts” wether referred to as objective or not are most often merely what your “authority” tells you they are. I, like most scientists worth their salt (though i am not among them), favor demonstrable, experimentally validatable, and validated facts.

2 + 2 = 5 because black people are victim and you have feelings about it

Lol, this is very much not my position - nor one i support. Objective reality doesn’t care about how you “feel” about things, and is what it is regardless. This very much includes feelings on the shape of the entire world!

you're a communist. Through and through

Hopefully you are starting to realize that you are mistaken, and/or have mistaken me for someone else. I am a heretic, a cynic, an iconoclast, and a skeptic - but i am no communist.

1
jack445566778899 1 point ago +1 / -0

Then why do you employ communist methodology

I don’t. Could you provide an example of what you mean?

to implement your flat earth faggotry?

I encourage flat earth research and discussion thereof. I am not a “flat earther” nor encouraging others to become flat earthers or faggots.
