How are meteors getting in if there is a firmament in place?
There are many thoughts/speculations on the matter. However, in general - there is extremely limited support for large “meteors” hitting the earth and/or making craters. It’s a speculation, misrepresented as science.
Laugh all you want, but such wild speculations misrepresented as science are very common.
Tectonic “theory”, the cause of volcanoes and earthquakes, the sun is a giant ball of gas, the earth has a molten “geodynamo”, spontaneous creation (life just made itself) etc.
The list goes on and on. The one thing we can be certain of is that future generations will mock and deride us for believing such unscientific tripe.
Meteor “extinction events” and such things are nothing more than chicken little grade fear porn. It’s very sad that anyone mistakes “armageddon”, and such shitty movies, for reality :(
If you are ever interested in exploring possible answers to your question (or others you may have on the subject) you might consider asking it (earnestly) over on flatearthresearch.
Reality is stranger than fiction because fiction is obliged to possibility.
