“It has been found that the best time to institute tyranny, is in the nursery.”
This is one of the reasons that we are steeped in the globe mythology so terribly young. It conditions/trains us to deny our own experience/observation and reasoning ability and instead always appeal (abjectly) to “authority” that “knows better”. It makes us better slaves, aka citizens.
The scientific laws of hydrostatics have stood essentially unchallenged for more than 3 centuries. (Liquid) Water cannot, by its very nature, curve convexly while at rest in the manner the globe model requires. To force it to do so against its nature (and arguably against the “at rest” caveat in the laws of hydrostatics) would require fantastic amounts of limitless energy. Fundamentally this is the flaw (sadly, by no means the only one, mind you) that newton introduced into physics with his magical christian god gravity. W = mg, mathematically describes matter perpetually accelerating in order to have weight. Things cannot perpetually accelerate. That is a fundamental violation of the conservation of energy, an example of perpetual motion, and just plain stupid. Where would the infinite energy even come from? Sure it would be nice if such infinite energy existed for us to harness, but it is clearly fantasy.
I encourage those interested in this subject to join us to further explore and exchange our views on it over at flatearthresearch!
