I absolutely disagree with this. If we adopt the ways of our enemy, we become our enemy. We need to be very careful not to do that; it’s an easy trap to fall into. I don’t just avoid propaganda or propagandizing - i avoid argument writ large, as i consider it a form of manipulation. I encourage independent study, and though i share my views - it is not for the purposes of prosthelytization/conversion/convincing. As you saw in this thread - I shared my view, but did not provide much if any support for it.

The ends never justify the means, and from unclean means comes an unclean result. My perspective is the complete opposite. Science is about the objective study of manifest external reality and the suppression of such bias (as “lived experience”).
The objective facts support that the world is not, and cannot, be the shape we are taught. But it takes a lot of study to recognize and appreciate why. From my perspective, as I favor a scientific approach, flat earth research has everything to do with objective fact (which is best derived, perhaps only derived, through rigorous application of the scientific method).
That said, “facts” wether referred to as objective or not are most often merely what your “authority” tells you they are. I, like most scientists worth their salt (though i am not among them), favor demonstrable, experimentally validatable, and validated facts.
