I haven't seen assassinations of important western figures, loads of Russians got liquidated though. If this wasn't a play a lot of heads of industry/hedge funds/banks would have rolled on our side.

There would have been a serious increase in terrorist attacks, that didn't happen either.

Heck they didn't even bother cutting underwater internet cables.

Now I'm certain we are being monitored, but I doubt they are that good to stop a nation state that has been doing subversive stuff since their inception.

Nah, they already lost a couple, everything up there is fragile like snow flakes one solar flare and half of them are gone.

Good luck building new ones after depop, crafting a hammer will be quite the task

There are things the private sector can't do, some things don't make immediate financial sense but are worth doing.

Like the power grid, healthcare, large scale infrastructure that will only make money after years, security etc etc

The 14 billion were a combined EU/Russian project. Ukraine's situation was just so bad. It still is and the war didn't make it better....

But yeah, there was a revolution the aid program was shelved, the new Ukrainian Regime started selling of everything to foreign entities.

Germany bought up a huge amount of land, and China bought an equally huge amount of land. There is also the 20 or so billion in publicly known debt to China and when there is a publicly known part there is always something hidden from public knowledge.

We will be paying for the rebuilding and the clean up of everything that went wrong with Ukraine since the soviets started wrecking it.

So would a nuke in the upper atmosphere above ukraine be considered the use of weapons of mass destruction or not?

It would render those fancy toys we sent ukraine useless

I'd say it's because it's because of the launch of the digital currency, but the Vatican is part of the Euro zone, so that move means *****

The current pope very very red

Right, I kinda forgot about the unpublished food crisis because of the energy crisis that is destroying europe.

this fall greenhouse farmers aren't even going to bother extending their growing season because of the insane gas prices. For the Netherlands it's up from 14cent in 2019 to €5 m³
And here in belgium farmers aren't storing crops as cold storage became unaffordable

Why nuke ohio, there's nothing worth nuking in ohio. Manhattan or the Port of LA sure

you are looking at electricity production but ignoring the 5 quadrillion BTU americans are using to heat them selves their water and to cook with. which will require an other 1500TWh/year and an other 2500TWh/year for transport (if you believe that is ever going to get electrified at a significant percentage)

Building a couple of new nuclear plants near big population and industry centers would help with that transition.

There is also the little secret that the nuclear arsenal needs to be overhauled The US has uranium reserves and the US needs to maintain the technology or risk loosing it like it practically did space faring
