Royal Bank (one of the biggest) stopped processing bitcoin payments through VISA as of the beginning of February (<3 weeks ago), almost right after the convoy got rolling. TD seized trucker funds. They know.

Hey, maybe this will finally collapse the housing market and I can buy a house. Silver lining :)

This is assuming that the army would actually go through with it. I wonder if the reason he hasn't brought them up yet is because he's not sure of their support and it could become a coup d'etat.

He also needs to understand that, if this goes the wrong way, it could trigger a protest in cities across Canada, possibly a global insurection. I wonder if he does.

It...almost looks like a face photoshopped onto another body?

Hips and shoulders are a dead giveaway, legs and arms also look weird.

I haven't had issues yet. I liquidated my TFSA last night, plan to clear my account out today in person.

Let's see what happens.

Thank you.

Jesus, thought I was going nuts.

THERE ARE LOTS OF NAMES, PICK DIFFERENT NAMES!

As the protests drag on, the federal government and business leaders have become increasingly alarmed about the potential harm to economic activity, individual businesses and Canada’s reputation with trading partners.

Yes...because of the protests...

I know! Just point out how Trump did absolutely nothing to remove Fauci, even while the guy openly mocked him on national television.

Trump was a rhetorical "fuck you" to the establishment, he's still as shitty as any other politician I've seen.

I saw it, and I'm not surprised it's happening this time.

The difference is that, this time, we're going to tear down every single one of these corrupt institutions.

There's no more uncertainty, or "wait and see", anyone fucking around is about to find out.

A number of the people assembled, many of whom are not truckers, said they were on hand to pressure the government to end pandemic-related restrictions and return to "normal."

Love the quotes there CBC, very cool.

Wow, great plan, blow up emergency lines with noise complaints. It definitely sounds like they think this is a serious terrorist threat and aren't just a bunch of Karens.

Thanks for the "boycott" list, though.

Not even assassinated, just having to actually face the Canadians he's been maligning and slandering.

The humiliation of being completely unable to hold his own without a tame media to intervene for him against a bunch of deplorables will cause a complete nervous breakdown.

Nope, no excusing laziness or cowardice.

If I can homeschool in socialist Ontario, anyone can. Even if the state forces your children into school at gunpoint and you are prohibited from moving, you still have eight hours with them everyday plus weekends. Get to work.

Doesn't it?

Parents who let their kids watch porn (by ignoring them for the vast majority of the time) don't care about their kids or families.

Solution #1: Point this out. Porn is degenerate, unhealthy, and totally unnecessary. It's consumption is a side effect of mental trauma and/or neglect. Parents need to deal with it.

Solution #2: Shame bad parents. Parents are allowed to raise their kids, but if their kids are fucked we both can and should shame them.

Solution #3: Encourage parents to care about their kids and help them to do so. Accept that most people who had boomers as parents have no idea how families are supposed to work and need to learn.

I was fully on board to be outraged about this, as the whole residential school system is an excellent example of what happens when the government is put in charge of kids, and I love ripping on the Canadian government.

But then I thought about it for about five minutes and wondered: If hundreds of children just disappeared into these schools, what happened to their parents? Like, the missing indigenous women scandal was huge, and those were women who often broke contact with their families before disappearing, but people's kids, who are at a government school, just vanish and no one looks into it?

Bullshit. Show me one actual parent who's kid disappeared while at this school, just one. Are we to believe that not one person is willing to come forward to get famous? That this entire country hates natives so much that we won't even acknowledge hundreds of dead children?

Doesn't even pass the sniff test.

Okay, so it was already less deadly than the flu for everyone under 60, does this mean it's the same for the over-60's as well?

Can we call it endemic and knock it off now?

I remember Ad-pocalypse I, everyone was bitching about ads everywhere. Here's me watching milquetoast Dave Rubin going "What ads?"
