Here's a way to narrow down the possibilities: Break one of them and watch what happens next.
Maybe this is part of why Nixon is unusually vilified in pop culture over other politicians. I remember watching Futurama parodying him thinking "Why does anyone still care about Nixon?"
Today: "Your annual flu shot contains nothing but a weakened form of the flu."
Tomorrow: "This annual health shot not only contains anti-flu update v3.5 and anti-parasite upgrade v2.4; but we embedded a new chip to make it easier than ever for your IoT devices to detect your vitals! This shot also fixes a bug that may have caused some users to experience seizures and sudden death. If you have anti-flu update 3.1 or higher, PLEASE UPGRADE IMMEDIATELY."
Not if the meaning of the word "recession" keeps changing; that way we'll never be in one again!
I really enjoyed LAN parties back in the day...so far back that most games we played had a LAN connectivity option and did not require "always online."
Those were about as social as gamers got...especially when we held LAN parties in the back room of a comic book store. Sometimes we'd spontaneously decide to go to the movies or walk to the nearest restaurant too. One time someone brought some foam swords and we had a battle in the parking lot. But that's so 2000's...today so many gamers don't even want to leave their bedrooms let alone house; or they're casuals who "play" mobile games that play themselves ubiquitously throughout the day every day.
always fighting with the people of cologne
For a moment I interpreted that as fighting with people who wear cologne, and wondered why he hated the scent so much.
Ask it if Islam is right about women.
The excuses I heard were that people had forgotten how to drive in heavy traffic, or how to drive at all. I didn't buy it; all the lockdowns did was reveal how bad that bad drivers really are.
That damn climate change again!
I joined PDW back when it was on Reddit for the memes and high-energy circlejerking whenever the far-left suffered any kind of loss; this despite disagreeing with some of Trump's policies (purity tests are not my thing).
Since 2021 it has mostly been an endlessly running checklist of all the alleged fraud and corruption in the system with a dash of hopium here and there. I pretty much feel numb to all of it now. Malice and incompetence have been a part of government since ancient times, along with the millions of failed promises that civilization will end in the next 18 months. And history shows us that when a nation falls, its entire population doesn't just disappear into nothingness. They either adapt to the new nation or flee to another nation where the cycle continues.
Or pizza grease depending on when they go to PF.
If he thinks vaccines are a lie...wait until he gets to lockdown effectiveness...
"So about your mom slowly dying alone in a nursing home for months before you were forbidden to go to her funeral...turns out that policy was actually not very helpful at all. Whoopsie, our bad! But you're also responsible because you didn't fight us harder!"
I can safely assume that engineer was not working in the cyber security department.
That devious climate change...sneaking up on totally healthy people when they're out for a nice walk and then striking them down without warning!
But for those who don't believe that, and still believe the jab is safe, there's always the long covid cope.
That's okay; they can communicate in emoji. They'll be proficient at that since they'll never be taught old outdated things like writing with pencil and paper or talking to people over the phone or in-person.
Boy that long covid and climate change sure are deadly!
Me too...except maybe for curling which is strangely satisfying to watch.
Because Chyna gets what Chyna wants.
Same. In fact my city's "Covid alert" level is at maximum right now because everyone is losing their shit over the common cold.
In fact one of my city's prominent news outlets is smearing anti-vaxxers. They just front paged some guy who says drinking urine will treat Covid. The guy also apparently has a history of activism against pro-vaxxers.
Maybe this is why Cash for Klunkers was a thing...to stop people from driving old cars without invasive tech.
My big city just formally entered the highest level of Covid panic because of all the positive test results. Since I'm unjabbed, the guidelines encourage me to not leave my house.
This won't end anytime soon because people here are obsessed with knowing their minute-by-minute Covid status.
Fuck that. I think I'll make a lesiurely trip to the gas station for some snacks.
The IHU variant comes after that. Not joking.
Maybe they used a tactic the left has been using for years: Have a few people set up a small office with a fax machine, then make some nice looking business cards and letterheads, and start faxing and writing letters to influential people acting like they're the premiere organization serving a special interest.
Eventually a few rich people, influential people and media leaders take the bait, which then lures more important people in ad finitum until those few people are raking in donations and new connections. All the while they do favors, return favors, dish out endorsements and exert their own power over people to further their causes.
Sure was a short time between "They'll never do mass surveillance over Covid, you conspiracy wacko!" and "Well of course they have to do mass surveillance for your protection, and I never claimed otherwise!"
Meanwhile in the candlelight of a small room in a downtown apartment during a six-hour rolling blackout, a self-proclaimed journalist writes using pen and paper:
"Change is hard. Humans are creatures of habit and it's in our nature to avoid change. We are far too reliant on old-fashioned ideas like reliable electricity, coal and nuclear power plants, gas stoves and even cross-country road trips. Even the virtues of private ownership and, dare I write individualism, are called into question in nearly every debate as the world implodes over its unsustainability..."
