And there is no greater monster than exploiting everyone's trust on you into the ground and compel them to see goodness in you even if you obviously ditched them into the bin.
It's REALLY fun if you're something like GameFreak or Blizzard knowing you can backstab anyone you want, cross fifty lines over the moral event horizon, then jump ship and laugh. If people start seeing you as the vile monsters you are you laugh at them because you WON.
A company who truly values money delivers quality works with their soul and not cash grabs or half assed products. But a company who just wants to see things burn do. This is not pure greed, this is pure evil. And being pure evil feels GOOD.
I really enjoyed LAN parties back in the day...so far back that most games we played had a LAN connectivity option and did not require "always online."
Those were about as social as gamers got...especially when we held LAN parties in the back room of a comic book store. Sometimes we'd spontaneously decide to go to the movies or walk to the nearest restaurant too. One time someone brought some foam swords and we had a battle in the parking lot. But that's so 2000's...today so many gamers don't even want to leave their bedrooms let alone house; or they're casuals who "play" mobile games that play themselves ubiquitously throughout the day every day.
Yeah bro. So sad
