In reality, there was no Russians in that countries for a long time - many was killed during national revolutions, and survivers emigrated to Russia in early 90-s. If you take, say, English and replace half of words to the similar ones pronounced and written in another way - it still be English. Language is not the words, it is grammar. To get a different language you need defferent grammar, using another words and pronounce make dialect, not a new language.
