Or better quetion yourself, why exactly you feel obliged to do something if some authority asks you to do it. And why instead of not giving any fuck to such demands, you somehow begin to feel yourself uncomfortable.
Those who accounted as authorities around you is not some divine given thing. You don't have to respect any authority if you don't have a solid reason for that. You choose your authorites, not they choose you. It is only your decision - to respect authority (say, if it is your dad or God) or not give a single fuck to it.

I have no idea who is running the site. I hate that the main site uses those taboola ads, scummy criminal ass service. Id worry more about those tracking you than setting your profile picture.

That's what FB did lol. My name was set to two handles I use for first and last name and after a few years it told me to upload legal documents proving that's my real name or to change it. What's lame is I still get email notifications every so often from the account. Lost contact with all of my old high school friends and old gamer homies from different eras.
