The age of covid shined a blinding light on most of humanity's general lack of critical thinking ability as well as its overabundant tendency to act entirely based on unevaluated emotion- that is to say, it showed me that most people are simply automatons devoid of soul.

Once that sunk in as my reality, I largely stopped caring about the masses as I no longer see them as higher beings inhabiting human bodies, but merely inconsequential NPCs filling out this Matrix existence we find ourselves in. That, and the horrible implications their collective, unevaluated actions have on the tiny minority of those who possess souls, still to be swept out to sea by the chaotic currents of mindlessness. Maybe that's the test of this realm that those with souls find themselves in.

I used to believe humanity was so much more than what it's shown itself to be.

Underrated comment.

The COVID era ruined human society. It reduced our interconnected existence to a paranoid and disjointed mess of wild animals in clothes.

To u/GynaNumbaZero's point about empathy, I think a lot of people permanently lost control of their inner voice. I think the inner voice is affected by stress and adrenaline. I think there are a lot more "zombies" without the privilege of an in-control prefrontal cortex, now.

I learned that whatever it is that some call soul, or Gods Grace, etc. Is not universal. In fact, it seems to be very rare amongst humans.

It's true, they keep slowly removing the criteria for assisted suicide to the point where all u have to do is ask..

It's SAD.

I saw it on myself as well, people dying no longer shocks me anymore. It sounds like what happened when Stalin was ruling the USSR, aside that it's worldwide.

Empathy is useless in the dark ages where you get starved to death and turn into rat food anyways.

I was talking to a normie and he was "shocked" to learn during COVAID how "little people actually cared about others" because they didn't wear the masks and take the shots.

Probably why norms seem to have less.

Yup. I feel like a dick sometimes, but death/misfortune just doesn't faze me anymore. Especially if the person is vaxxed. It's hard to forget how easily those people kicked me out of their lives and wished every evil thing that they could think of against me. I've had to live with the consequences of all my actions and nobody gives a fuck about me— why should I care about you? It's something I struggle with and ask Jesus to help me with, because we have to become the examples we want others to follow. But it's fucking hard, man. I just genuinely don't care what happens to most people.

I think you care. You're just angry, and rightly so. The lemmings showed their true colors, and a lot of them were disgusting. Don't let yourself hate or wish ill on others, though, because it prevents you from understanding the truth; the truth about them, yourself, your feelings, who the real enemy is, etc.

Pretty much everybody has to prove to me that they're more than a soulless automaton in a skin suit. I've even had to reconsider family and lifelong friends.

Since COVID really showed how quickly people were willing to turn on their Neighbors. We have become less impacted by reality on order to protect our inner beings. It is a coping mechanism, not a reduced amount of empathy. Currently, the thing that saves me these days is a good sense of dark humor.

We all got betrayed by almost everybody. Empathy and trust go hand in hand. I still have empathy for unvaccinated friends and a lot of my family.

It's hard not to treat strangers as if they're the "average" person. And when the average is low, that's not good. If you simply treat strangers neutrally instead, regardless of what you perceive as average, then things might turn around.

But yeah, it feels like we all discovered that empathy is earned.

Matthew 24:10-12:

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Note: I'm certainly not one of those "The Bible predicted it all!" people. I just find it startling to think this was written down 2000 years ago.

The verse I found shocking was Matthew 10:34 (and repeated in Luke 12:51):

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

I wasn't shocked that Jesus said it, because I understand what he means, but I wondered, "Where is everybody getting all this 'Prince of Peace' stuff? Are any of them even reading the Bible?" Guess not, huh?

It makes more sense when you realize it's a generalized instruction manual for building and destroying civilizations on earth.

The Bible didn't predict the fall--it facilitated it.

No. But it has done for many ordinary people. A lot more rage today. Like a steam cooker boiling. If it doesn't vent it explodes.

The box experiment. If you keep putting rats into a box what happens. They populate and populate until the box breaks. But that population has also turned queer and cannibal.

It's the same with humans in captivity.

Today it's about everybody else. We voted for assholes who shovel shit by the spade and keep causing that box, the population, too?

The box experiment.

Suggested information shapes a box out of ones mind/memory if one consents to keep holding onto it. Only within perceivable inspiration is one free to choose...suggested information tempts one to ignore that.

The hearts of men grow cold in the last days. Humanity, being of a sinful nature, has a default state of total depravity. Any sense of goodness in you actually comes from God pleading with you to do right. If you are losing your empathy, try to remind yourself of the state of the world and how everyone is potentially capable of good and evil. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Don’t let your heart be hardened. Keep it soft and fleshy.

destroy empathy

EM (within) PATHOS (suffering) aka moderation (life) within suffering (inception towards death). How does life moderate self while being moved from inception towards death? Choosing to resist temptation.

PATH (inception towards death) destroys EM (life within).

I sense it from media

Sensing implies being center (perception) of surrounding (perceivable)...consenting to suggested MEDIA (Latin medius; middle) tempts one to ignore self (center) for another (middle).

Instead of moderating self within reality, one is permitting others to mediate fiction to moderate one.

"What, somebody died?!"

Your consent to suggested progressivism (towards outcome) tempts you to focus on death over life...others mediate death (watchpeopledie) to tempt you to ignore life.

Growing life grows ones resistance to being tempted by death.

The ongoing process of dying implies generator for each temporary life as reactor within. Choosing to react to generation implies re-generation aka self sustenance...
