Folic acid is vitamin b9. White flour is already 'enriched' and this is just adding one more item to the list. This isn't a bad thing.

It's not a good thing to force bread makers to put nutrients in food. They should recommend, not force.

Flour already has iron and nicotine acid aka niacin aka vitamin B3

A vitamin is an organic molecule (or a set of molecules closely related chemically, i.e. vitamers) that is an essential micronutrient which an organism needs in small quantities for the proper functioning of its metabolism. Essential nutrients cannot be synthesized in the organism, either at all or not in sufficient quantities, and therefore must be obtained through the diet.

Niacin, also known as nicotinic acid, is an organic compound and a form of vitamin B3, an essential human nutrient.

Holy fuck you people are fucking stupid. Adding more B vitamins is not a bad thing. Some people will need them, most will probably just wind up pissing them out.

Most vitamins are water soluble with Vitamins A, D, E and K being fat soluble.

It is next to impossible to overdose on water soluble vitamins.

When they start packing in the K, that's when it gets dangerous and can lead to more clotting in the body.

Agreed.

Gotta admit, though, it seems like we've left open a backdoor for medical treatment without consent here, kinda like with the fluoride thing.

They've been doing this in the US since the 90's. Unfortunately half of the population likely have MTHFR genetic mutations and cannot process folic acid and large amounts of it can clog the areas that natural forms of folate would bind to, making the folate deficiency worse in those with severe mutations. In women this can lead to recurrent miscarriages as they need folate when conceiving and during early pregnancy (it is common to test for this mutation after multiple miscarriages in both the mother and father). Interestingly, 98% of children with autism have an MTHFR mutation, with rates significantly increasing since the 90's when flour was enriched with folic acid in the US (1998) and pregnant women were encouraged to take folic acid supplements while pregnant (1992). This isn't the only piece to the autism puzzle but it certainly shouldn't be ignored and anyone with this mutation should stay away from these foods and take alternative forms of folate if needed. Mass fortifying food without regard for the consequences is a mistake.

I dont have autism but I neither can eat gluten or dairy and when they gave me acid folic my belly got filled with gas and hurt like hell. I couldnt eat a thing until I stopped taking the supplements.

Have you tried stopping all processed food ? They put dextrose in most sauces/fries/sausages which is made of wheat. I heard about autistic people going back to normal once they stop all sources of wheat, corns and dairies.

Done a lot better since I evicted all dextrose, glucose syrup etc from my food. I also take chinese medecine drugs which helps a lot.

If the methylfolate doesn't work out try something like this. I think the ivermectin will help, I've seen a lot of success stories for covid related issues. Also NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) has been talked about a lot for alleviating symptoms. I got some online recently but it's getting hard to find and might take a few weeks to ship since it's popular. Here's one I found that has NAC, quercetin, and vitamin C, hits a lot of the immune system bases. Throw in some zinc and vitamin D and it makes a good prophylactic against any future viruses.

Looks like i hit a nerve. I stand by what i said. You (probably) have multiple devices to look up exactly what you want to know. Of course reviews exist. Which are often found...drumroll on the internet, which you can access with...drumroll your devices! It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to learn things. Unless of course you have trouble finding out how to learn things in the first place? ... Yikes, dude. Just yikes.

Freezing: Put in freezer.

Canning: Cook the fruit or vegetable, put in can, boil jars in water bath for 15 mins with lid on. Make sure jars and lids are sterilised before starting to can.

Drying: Hang up in well ventilated dry, dark and cool place.

It's more than just the food aspect. I have 80% arthritis throughout my spinalcord, so I need some warmer weather. This cold wet North East weather locks my back up in the winters :(. But I do have some indoor garden going. I have a plan to make a hydro system using like 6" PVC pipes, and some cheapo LED, A guy local to me did it. And he grows micro greens all year out of his basement. I can hunt and fish in winters for meat, I also have stored many many cans of tuna, and chicken. But not enough. Next plan is to also grab a .22 air rifle, for hunting small game. Save my bullets for the things that matter ^_^

The biggest culprit is white flour. Hulling the wheat to make it 'pretty' also makes it nutritionally terrible.

Specific neural cord defects that occur early in the first few weeks of pregnancy, before women are aware they are pregnant, are believed to be due to low B9 - folate.

Certainly I believe that pollutants in general are likely involved too.

How much of those negative effects are in people with the MTHFR gene? Their bodies can't metabolize folic acid. They need the methyl-folate version. Seems like those studies should include that as a control.

They want to drop birth defects like spinal bifida by 20 percent.

Seriously, how many people in 100,000 are born with spinal bifida, that that number needs to droo by 20 percent.

Contrast that with the spike in autism.

Folic acid is poisonous?

permalink save report block reply
▲ 8 ▼
– CWAC_Patriot 8 points 4 years ago +8 / -0

A percentage of the population are unable to process folic acid and need to take B9 in the naturally occurring format, folate. It's a genetic mutation. For these people, folic acid is a mild poison.

https://www.amymyersmd.com/article/mthfr-mutation/

Sadly, most people don't know if they have this problem, and will not know why they are unwell.
