The debt is in bonds like T-Bills. They pay interest when the term is up. The congress and the Fed got interest rates to almost 0% which banks loved and wrecked the retirement of elderly that used T-Bills as a safe investment. Government went on a spending spree even bigger than normal and then the Fed raised interest rates back up "to stop inflation" and here we are spending almost every tax dollar to just pay the interest of the bonds. We are close to having to borrow money just to pay the interest now.
I am not a jew or Israeli. But I do study history. Arafat was famously described as never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity. He did steal about $5 billion in aid money from the Israeli muslims living in Gaza and the West Bank neighborhoods. Most of the aid money going to help the muslims there is still being diverted to weapons or just being stolen. The one thing OP never mentioned after 72 years since Balfour is just accepting that Israel exists and Palestine doesn't. Muslims can join the military in Israel. Be elected to the Knesset. Live a normal life in Israel. Or you can build homemade rockets and suicide vests for a war that has lasted generations and that muslims will never win.
