I actually just referenced the primary source. Several civilizations made record of their history and prophetic dispensations compiled into one book. More can be said for what it is than what it is not. It is its own evidence; profound in is teachings and telling of the past at the same time telling of the future (of this nation) while teaching of Jesus Christ. I lost faith in the Mormon organization but will never deny that the writing and translation of the book is the most miraculous thing that ever happened. Source
