Lol you know how a rocket works dont you. Its not one long solid piece but made up of several stages. Spacex and whats his face are the only ones who have "reusable" ships and rockets.

Im fairly confident without looking that the first stage boosters which, if you played kerbal space program lmao, are mainly solid stage boosters. They have no control over them really and the only point is to get them to their speed and angle before the next phase. I doubt they make it very far from the base which is one of the reasons they like to shoot off over water....

They are supposedly building a launchpad in canso nova scotia. Again, it is pointed out over the ocean.

These threads are silly as fuck.

Everyday we have a thread popping up calling flat earth stupid, and right on time another thread will pop up saying spherical earth is stupid. Its so godamn obvious.

And the top quote of this picture has nothing to do with sphere earth, alot of the radation we see, in the form of light. Im curious what flat earthers think light is, I think plasma or something.

I definitely know the moon is a ball. We wouldnt have cycles of the moon if it wasnt.

I still think, maybe earth is flat technically but because space and time are curving, it could just appear as a ball or something.

https://eater.net/quaternions

https://eater.net/quaternions/video/stereo2d

I however think spherical earth makes alot more sense than just a simple 2d plane.

It might be one thing if the math didnt work, but the math works lmao....

Last time I talked about this, I was stupid enough to think that we have some way of generating helium. We do not.

It is a finite source, and we have no way to renew it. Other than waiting on mother nature to make some more.

https://rockymountainair.com/blog/how-is-helium-extracted/

Where Is Helium Found?

Where on earth is helium found? Wherever large deposits of uranium are located, Helium will also be found. Most of the world’s Helium comes as a byproduct of decaying uranium and fossil fuels. Today, the world’s Helium supply relies on reserves in the United States, the Middle East, Russia and North Africa. There are only 14 liquid Helium refineries in the world, half of which are in the United States. The rest are in Qatar, Algeria, Australia, Russia and Poland. The US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has been responsible for over half of the world’s Helium supply, which is located in Amarillo, Texas, but is expected to go offline in 2021.

Are We Running Out of Helium? The BLM Helium reserve is located in the Texas panhandle, stretching through Oklahoma and Kansas. While the reserves have taken millions of years of radioactive decay to cultivate, the BLM has taken nearly 100 years to deplete the supply. It was established in 1925 and is expected to run out by 2025. However, the BLM has until September 2021 to sell all of its federally owned assets, which includes plant facilities, crude Helium pipelines, gas wells, maintenance stations and storage systems. According to gasworld, these assets will be sold in auctions or sealed bids to public or private parties. During the transition, the plant will at least be shut down temporarily, greatly affecting the Helium market across the world.

On top of that, plastic doesnt contain helium. This is why after a few days your floaty balloons drop. Its not that the helium is "used up" its diffusing through the space between atoms.

The helium atoms are very tiny — so tiny the random motion of the atoms eventually lets them find their way through the material of the balloon through a process called diffusion. Some helium even finds its way through the knot that ties off the balloon. Neither helium nor air balloons deflate completely.

You can contain it, in something like metal. But then it becomes to heavy to float with helium.

Also a neat fact, we cant recover helium because it basically bleeds into space.

Once helium is released in the atmosphere, it will continue rising until it escapes into space, making it the only truly unrecoverable element.

So, how do these satellites stay afloat for so long with just rubber balloons then?

Ideas?

Even the chinese spy balloons dont stay up forever.

How long will my balloons float with helium? Though many factors can influence the duration time of a balloon, normally an inflated latex balloon with helium should last 18 to 24 hours. Foil helium balloon can retain for much longer, often remaining inflated for 2 to 5 days.

I imagine they were some kinda metal lined balloons.

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/04/us/china-spy-balloon-time.html

China’s spy balloon drifted for 7 days across the U.S.: A Timeline

Prolly only took a day or two to get from china to alaska.

Pay attention to this comment.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-were-suddenly-spotting-spy-balloons/

Since last week, government representatives have announced that, among the many balloons in our skies, some may have been Chinese spying platforms. “At least since 2018, there does seem to seem to be this broad Chinese balloon surveillance program,” says Carla Martinez Machain, a professor of political science at the University at Buffalo. According to the State Department, China’s balloon surveillance program goes well beyond the U.S., targeting 40 countries on five continents.

The only reason peopled noticed this one was the size.

The surveillance balloon that brought this program to national attention was easily detectable—so large that civilians managed to take photos and videos of it from the ground. It was widely estimated to be the size of three school buses. “It’s not very stealthy,” West says. “The payload underneath it was about the size of a small plane, so it … looks like a plane on the radar.”

So they needed a balloon the width of 3 school busses to carry a payload the size of a plane. Maybe what a couple thousand pounds?

If satellites were being carried by balloons, we would see them.

Magical mindbending. Lol.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=968gVUAY9Mg

You might want to watch this to understand how the "magic" works. Does this explain gravity? No. But it does explain that light is not a magic thing and that it obeys the laws of physics.

He then uses sugar water or something to create a super dense liquid that will cause the water to curve at certain angles. Kinda of the same way how light "Bends" around a glass, or through a fiberoptic cable. *Woops, hes using some kinda of special container or something. The sugar water was this one.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sft3QYZjNCU

Magic mind bending lol, like come on.

Anyway, this experiment can be tried at home and does show the effect of gravity on a laser beam, although its effect is so small its hard to observe unless your at long distances. But then you start dealing with refraction and of course that skews things. Your not gonna measure a flat earth or a globe earth with a laser because of this.

And this is why they had lasers on rails and in vacuums to build the particle accelerators. Since they are massive.

I dont have the money to do stuff like this anymore, god I miss having a full time job. Im just waiting around to die at this point.

If you got the time and money, why not give it a try and let us know the results?

Also I wish I could believe in god.

I just finished sweet tooth and while I seen no one else pointing it out. I am fairly certain the main character of the show was supposed to be representative of jesus.

https://www.beliefnet.com/columnists/dreamgates/2011/03/the-deer-the-christ-and-the-magnetism-of-symbols.html

Studying religious iconography in France in 2005, I became fascinated by the moment in the history of the Western imagination when the old pagan image of the Antlered One fused with that of the Christ. You can view the results on the facade of the great Gothic church of St-Eustache at Les Halles, once the site of the famous market. Look up and near the top, lording it over the gargoyles, you’ll find the figure of an antlered stag with the Calvary cross between his antlers. According to legend, St. Eustace (to give him the Anglo version of his name) was formerly a pagan Roman general named Placidus, who reveled in the hunt until one day he confronted a magnificent stag through whose deep eyes the Christ light shone. Christ spoke to him through the deer. The general gave up hunting and converted to the new religion.

Feels weird to be the only one who gets this.

Thats because DNA test's cant tell ethnicity, they dont even use them for native americans.

Israel, again is full of shit.

Ethnicity is a reflection of shared ancestry based on social and cultural practices. Ethnic groups may be linked by a religious affiliation, a shared linguistic heritage or a common geographical origin. Ethnicity cannot be detected by DNA, but there is sometimes an overlap with a person's genetic ancestry.

Do you think AMD is immune from this?

Think they are going to put a secret spy chip on intel, but not the other one?

In amd's case, the chip is embedded into the cpu itself. There is no way to disable the chip and keep the functionality of the cpu.

WIth the older versions of me you could burn a hole through the me chip or flash it with a bunk software and disable it, but im sure thats prolly been fixed now.

Then on top of that every bit that goes across the ether is recorded and stored somewhere like iron mountain.

Your only choice is to use old hardware but even then thanks to the spectre and amd relevant exploits, they arent exactly secure either.

Intel's main competitor, AMD, has incorporated the equivalent AMD Secure Technology (formally called Platform Security Processor) in virtually all of its post-2013 CPUs.

Thanks billy for helping with the largest spying apparatus this world has ever seen. Im sure he feels proud.

Then on top of that they are going to say the window is curved so thats why the line is curved. But it doesnt look anymore curved on the right edge of the pane as it is in the middle lmao.

Im starting to be reminded a bit of the old spy vs spy mad comic. Thats what it feels like a bit in here lately.

I can def see the entire thing curving when the screenshot is zoomed out.

I dont know, the strongest piece of evidence of climate change imo, isnt the ice cores, it isnt the geological formations left over from even the last major change which would have been when the glaciers started to melt and break up over north america.

Its sediment cores. They have been doing this since the 1800's, which funny enough, reoccurring cataclysm theory was a popular thing back then, around the beginning of the 1900's seems to be taken out of the history books.

If our leaders knew the end of an epoch was coming. Do you think they would tell the masses?

Im fairly confident they would let us plebs work and slave up to the very last day we couldnt.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PS1920-1_0-750_sediment-core_hg.jpg

What are some theories on this? All faked maybe?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_isotope_stages

Marine isotope stages (MIS), marine oxygen-isotope stages, or oxygen isotope stages (OIS), are alternating warm and cool periods in the Earth's paleoclimate, deduced from oxygen isotope data derived from deep sea core samples. Working backwards from the present, which is MIS 1 in the scale, stages with even numbers have high levels of oxygen-18 and represent cold glacial periods, while the odd-numbered stages are lows in the oxygen-18 figures, representing warm interglacial intervals. The data are derived from pollen and foraminifera (plankton) remains in drilled marine sediment cores, sapropels, and other data that reflect historic climate; these are called proxies.

Whats that white line above the horizon. I had to think about this for a few seconds.

Whoever photoshopped the image on right goofed and forgot to remove their guiding line is my guess. Im sure the excuse is to show us how flat the earth is.

Is that why the clouds have been heavily distorted?

Nah, its just cuz they lied.

Yea, I want to say he's joking but this is some new age reasoning right here.

Sure sure you get all that stuff, but you dont live long enough to actually benefit from it lmao.

What even if you can afford the medicines that are available now thanks to guinea pigs like my mom, that gives you what another 10-20 years? lmao. And at the end, I guarantee its going to be as opposite as "pain free" as possible, if my moms death pose was any indicator.

Funny enough though, the first thing I thought of was this sadly.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/jun/29/southafrica.aids

An estimated 31 per cent of Nelpruit's population of 600,000 is infected. Now the city has another problem, a dramatic increase in child rape caused by the myth that sex with a virgin cures HIV.

Until 2000 most rape victims were adults. but there was an abrupt turn-around from 2001, when 65 to 70 per cent of victims were children, some as young as two weeks old. The city seems helpless in the face of its woes. The ANC's provincial Health Minister, Sibongile Manana, has been placed under 'curatorship' - the Minister of Housing and the Minister of Public Works are going to help her do her job.

So, no sadly I dont think this is a joke.

Not to mention cremation. Everyone in my family the last couple generations has been cremated. My grandma insisted she waste her money on one of those concrete vaults in case jesus comes back. Why not, one last splurge before giving everything to my uncle.

I forget what I said the other day but my spouse says, Ill put that on your tombstone.

I had a good laugh, I cant afford a tombstone. Just cremate me and spread my ashes into the wind. We all return to dust in the end.

Something I share in common with the thousands of native americans that canada stole and stuffed infected individuals into the dorms and classrooms when quarantining was standard protocol.

Im not even worth a stone. Which is prolly a good thing.

i was watching buckminster fuller and he was saying there is less than a few dollars of precious metals in each human body. Thank fuck, or our leaders would literally sell us for scraps.

Who woulda thought that tons of meat glue, chemicals for texture, and chemicals for seasoning would be bad for you?

Those paper straws are fucking evil as hell too.

https://bc.ctvnews.ca/they-re-not-looking-at-the-unintended-consequences-study-highlights-concerning-toxins-found-in-paper-straws-1.6564083

A recent study out of Belgium has discovered paper straws containing poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as forever chemicals.

The research found paper straws were more likely to be contaminated with PFAS than any other type of straw.

"We know that these are toxic, harmful, persistent and bio-accumulative compounds," said Dr. Juan Jose Alava, a UBC professor who is also the principal investigator with the Ocean Pollution Research Unit.

"If they accumulate, we know they are immunotoxic."

Earlier this year the toxins were found in orcas off the B.C. coast. PFAS are commonly used in items, including straws, as a water repellent.

The poison is in the dose, right‽

I mean why cant we have it both ways? The vaccine is not safe and effective, and covid itself was a man made weapon.

All I can say, is dont run out of phosphorous, magnesium, vitamin d, or your gonna have a real bad time.

I wasnt vaccinated, but I also dont know how much is from the work injury and what not. I think I woulda been fine, except I was low on phosphorous and covid fucking depleted me. I have never been able to get it back up, its been going on 4 years.

It seems most people who end up with kidney damage from covid experience the opposite, they end up with temporary hypo parathyroidism. The kidney damage will in the end cause their phosphorous levels to be elevated. So I dont know what the fuck is happening to me.

Either kidney damage, bone cancer, or a simple overactive parathyroid. Im still fucked up from all that vitamin d the endocronologist suggested to take.

Im thinking I have a ball of calcium in the middle of my gut or something. Its been like 6 weeks since I stopped taking vitamin d, my poops are still fucked.

Im sitting on the toilet about 10 times a day for 15-25 minutes. Most of the time nothing is coming out and what does come out is super super sticky and mush.

Thanks fucking idiot doctors. Vitamin d wasnt the problem 3 years ago, only a retard would suggest taking vitamin d now. God damn.

Idiots or criminals, take your pick. Im leaning towards criminals because there is no way someone who went to school for 8 years is this god awful retarded.

However, she is looking way, way to thin. thinner than she normally does, and watching her get out of the car, she has terrible bone stiffness. Also if she still has chemo treatments left, am I right to assume she is likely wearing a wig?

3
freedomlogic 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lol, I dont speak for anyone else here, but I have a couple issues with this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5dmPUABing

This could easily explain it, in fact looking at the ISS one, it appears to be zoomed in on a river, is that supposed to be the nile or something?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYM9HBuDc-8

Due to how spheres work, it doesnt matter if your really far away, or really close, your still gonna get a spherical view.

Of course they get a circular view from the ISS. You get a circular view at any altitude. At the low altitudes, the diameter of that circle is only a few kilometers. Far out in space, it approaches the diameter of the planet. NASA has also taken many images of the full earth in the last 43 years. There are many meteorological photos which don't get public attention. One shot that did was when they took shots of the Earth from Cassini, in orbit around Saturn, in 2013. nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/multimedia/pia17171.html

Again I think this is all related to the focal length.

https://martinbaileyphotography.com/2017/04/10/the-effect-of-subject-distance-and-focal-length-on-perspective-podcast-568/

People sometimes get confused when talking about this subject, and end up talking about how changing the focal length changes the perspective, and it actually does not. The only time the perspective changes is if you change the distance from your camera to the subject.

If you also change your focal length to maintain the same subject size, you will see a dramatic change in the relationship between the foreground subjects and the elements in the background. If you simply put a camera on a tripod, and without changing the distance to your subject, then shoot a series of images as you zoom in or out, you can crop away the excess image that is captured in the images at wider focal lengths, and you’ll see that the relationship between the main subject and the background will be exactly the same. The perspective itself does not change by changing the focal length alone.

The reason the perspective will change in my example photos, is because I moved closer to my main subject and zoomed out, changing my focal length, to make the the main subject appear the same size in each photograph. When you do this, the relationship between the subject and the background elements changes dramatically, as we’ll see.

So without knowing the exact specifications of the lenses, comparing them is pointless.

With that being said. The tesla photos look fake as hell. And I dont think it was high enough to get a shot of the earth, even with a panoramic camera.

To see the entire Earth at once, you would need to be at a distance where the curvature of the Earth does not obstruct your view. The point at which this happens is known as the "Kármán line," which is located approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) above sea level. This is often considered the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space.

If you were at this altitude, you would be able to see the entire Earth in one view. This is the height at which the Earth's curvature and the horizon appear as a circle, allowing for a full panoramic view of our planet. This is the altitude at which the Earth's circumference would be visible in its entirety.

In practice, this view is typically achieved by astronauts in spacecraft or satellites in orbit around the Earth. From the International Space Station (ISS), for example, astronauts can see the Earth in its entirety as it orbits the planet at an average altitude of about 420 kilometers (260 miles)

If that were true, then why does the ISS have no pictures of the entire planet. This article claims the opposite!

https://www.tobyord.com/earth

Most recent Earth photography is from the International Space Station. It is a superb vantage point, with excellent equipment and skilled photographers. But its position in low Earth orbit is just too close to allow photographs of the entire planet. If the Earth were a schoolroom globe, 30 centimetres across, the ISS would be viewing the Earth from less than a centimetre away — far enough to see a curving horizon and the black of space, but not to see the whole Earth. In fact, being so close, it can see just 3% of the Earth’s surface at a time.

To take a portrait of our planet you need to step further back. For example, to geostationary orbit (about 90 times further away) or the Moon (about a thousand times further). From these distances, you can see nearly an entire half of the Earth’s surface at any one time, while remaining close enough for a sharp image.

Someones lying.

I still think space exist, but its prolly not what we think it is.

-edit-

Also, i still think it looks fakes as hell, but your post is misleading. The picture you have is not from 170 km.

https://youtu.be/aBr2kKAHN6M?t=9509

The picture is from after stage 2, which if I understand right. Was at least as far as geostationary orbit, which would make it capable of getting the image with a panoramic camera.

The US Office of Commercial Space Transportation issued the test flight's launch license on February 2, 2018.[28] The rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center[28] at 15:45 EST (20:45 UTC) on February 6.[29] The upper stage supporting the car was initially placed in an Earth parking orbit.[6] It spent six hours coasting through the Van Allen radiation belts, thereby demonstrating a new capability requested by the U.S. Air Force for direct insertion of heavy intelligence satellites into geostationary orbit. Then, the upper stage performed a second boost to reach the desired escape trajectory.[30][31][32]

The launch was live streamed, and video feeds from space showed the Roadster at various angles, with Earth in the background, thanks to cameras placed inside and outside the car, on booms attached to the vehicle's custom adaptor atop the upper stage.[33][34] Musk had estimated the car's battery would last over 12 hours, but the live stream ran for just over four hours, thus ending before the final boost out of Earth orbit

So could the fact they closed hospitals for what a year? almost two in some places? Delayed surgerys, postponed mri's, wonder how many people died from cancer or other preventable things. I wonder if its as many as that died from covid.

That being said I was going to make a comment about how people are just lazy now, but I can vouch for how insidious heart issues can be.

No one can look at you and tell your having irregular heart rythyms, and if you have them for a long time, well its not good. I was lucky enough, I guess my heart has mostly recovered...mowing the lawn was putting me into sinus arrythymia the other day. Not a big deal, but kinda iffy with the pvc's on top of it. God I miss the days when I never had pvcs :(. Just the odd palpation, nothing more than a passing sensation. The pvc's are different, they cause a thump and a head rush. Sucks bad.

But yeah, everytime I breathed in I was very aware that my heart was slowing down like crazy. Felt bizarre. Not dangerous on its own but again the pvc's make it something potentially not good.

Fucked I say.

When I got omicron, I remember my heart rate was 30 and my blood pressure was like 80/40. The emt's were shocked I could stand lmao.

This is another one of those subjects, where I cant make up my mind.

They lied about so much shit about him, I remember being like 8 years old and I remember the news just repeating over and over that he was getting surgery to be white. That turned out to be fake.

It's mainly because of that I have a hard time believing he actually molested those kids, especially after watching the video? of him buying a engagement ring for one of the main kids who parents brought the lawsuit.

Seems weird to do such a nice thing for someone after abusing them. But I understand people do horrible things for the most fucked up reasons in their head. Funny how religion is a main one.

But yeah I was going to say.... I understand where op is coming from, it is sus as hell that none of the astronauts seem to remember seeing stars while standing on the moon. Obviously they should have.

But come on, the milky way doesnt look like this to the naked eye. You can only see a fraction of what is there. Everything else is to faint for a human eye to detect.

Imagine if we were capable of seeing radio signals and high energy particles with the naked eye, wow what a sight the sky must hold.

Prolly not related, but I am reading about cancer and come across this.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/07/science/cancer-ancient-animals.html

Adding to the uncertainty, some animal lineages seem less susceptible to cancer than others: Crocodiles and a few other reptiles, along with sharks and naked mole rats, are rarely troubled by the disease, while tumors in invertebrates don’t much resemble those of vertebrates.

https://aacrjournals.org/cancerres/article/10/7/403/472454/Tumors-in-the-Invertebrates-A-Review

Phenomena related to neoplastic growth have been studied in a number of invertebrate phyla, and tumors of either epithelial or connective tissue origin have been reported in annelids, sipunculids, arthropods, molluscs, and ascidians. Evidence of the true neoplastic character of such alleged tumors is often scanty; reasonably convincing signs of malignancy are found only in a small number of reported cases.

A number of tumors described in representatives from various invertebrate groups may be classified as spontaneous growths, since their cause is unknown. In insects certain of the alleged tumors are known to be hereditary. Other factors reported to cause tumors or abnormal growths in invertebrates are parasites, endocrine imbalance, and disturbance of innervation. Carcinogens have been tried on a variety of invertebrates and have been reported to cause tumors only in molluscs. X-rays in suitable dosage are known to cause tumor-like growths or increase their incidence in insects (Drosophila).

Lol I dont think its connected, but it does make me wonder. Because if planet 9 really is a brown dwarf, its prolly hitting us with xrays right now.

Lmao bright insight letting his hair grow out, almost like he stopped caring about what he looks like.

I think its likely buddy fell down the rabbit hole along with the rest of us.

Its interesting though, this was a huge find when it was discovered, there were huge structures erected over the site to protect it during its excavation.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/aerHvbkxSLkZrqvBA

They have been excavating this place since 1995, I suspect they have found everything they are going to find there.

What exactly did they find I wonder? Doesnt seem like they published very much about this site. Which is interesting considering its what, 11,000 years old or something?

If anything, you think they would keep it open as its a huge tourist attraction so this definitely seems strange to me. They will proally bulldoze it over lmao.
