Yes, and there is a whole another topic possible about how extremely fleeting and thin our daily information is. We might think we live in an information age, but that is not necessarily true. Most of the online links functioning now will not be operational in, say, five years. The rate of online information disappearance is extremely fast.
When a book sits on a shelf, it's there and it will still be there in ten, twenty or even hundred years. Information online, however, will most probably be lost in five or ten (unless not actively maintained or renewed somewhere else).

I'm just wondering... Why is it that the mainstream is pushing so hard for deepfakes, chat AIs and all that other crap lately? Could it be a deliberate sowing of confusion so that people simply don't know what's real and what's not anymore?

I'm kind of interested what's up with the ties in general. It's a part of suit that really does not seem to have any practical purpose whatsoever. All other parts have at least some purpose. How did they come to be? What's the history of the tie?
My immediate guess would be that it's a symbolic collar and a chain around your neck. Kind of a way to symbolize that suit wearer has a master that holds them by the tie.

Hmm, it's strange that the subtitle of the first book is: Mapping the Collapse of Globalization. Do you really think this is the case? Seems to me it's actually the opposite. That currently we are seeing the push for globalization like never before. Globalization does not only mean free movement of goods and people. First and foremost it means single control center and centralized decision making which is exactly what we can see around the world lately. Most decisions are very coordinated. For example, Ukraine, bug food, 15 minute cities, covid, jabs etc all of that is quite obviously coordinated across the nations... How does the book explain all that?

One of the answers might be that their power is not absolute. They don't control every aspect of society, every aspect of economy and every aspect of politics. They do control the narrative, however, and the narrative is the main driving force behind modern society. Just look at past three years what the narrative can do. It does not matter if it's true or not. What matters is that it is percieved as true.
Another answer is that their plans also are not absolute. They do change and they do transform over time. Seems to me they work mostly on a kind of probing basis. They probe society and analyze what nonsense would fly and what wouldn't. Will the masses eat it up or wouldn't? Currently they are probing for things like insect diet, smart prison cities, UFO invasion and 1984 style infinite war.
And lastly all those good things you mention might have been useful for them at the time. For example, Western prosperity was very useful geopolitically as a counterweight to USSR. Look at them, they are poor, their economy is shit. Look at us, we are so, so much better than them! With all our freedoms and stuff! When USSR collapsed (probably intentionally) the image of prosperity and freedom was no longer relevant and currently we can all see the results of that. Of course they can't take away all the freedom and wealth in one day, but they are working on that. Oh, they are!
EDIT: Regarding population numbers. How do you know that those are real population numbers? How do you know that our population is indeed balooning? Oh, from Wikipedia? But we all know that Wikipedia is one of the biggest narrative peddlers. So, here you are. Our population might be even smaller than it was, say, 100 years ago. Our climate might even be in a better shape than it was 100 years ago. It's the narrative that matters. Not facts or reality. We simply do not know what the real reality is.

Sometimes it seems that the AI takeover has already happened. It's just that we haven't noticed it yet. We live in a generated and highly addictive reality almost 24/7. Each has it's own personal bubble of it. Who knows what is real and what isn't anymore? I guess the safest way is to assume that everything is fake and work from there.
It's more than possible that all those "we're winning" people are just a controlled opposition. Nothing more. They're just saying the lines they were told to say. Pushing the narrative they were told to push. That's all.
