The next issue of Medicine magazine probably: "Unexplained spike in sudden deaths, debilitating events plaguing various countries. Doctors completely stumped."

To the people who mocked anti-maskers who were later pronounced dead of Covid-related causes...karma's a bitch isn't it?

Researchers: "Children have less than a tiny fraction of a percentage risk of Covid fatality"

Normies: "But it's not the same as zero! Please think of the children! NO risk is acceptable!!!"

What is an employee's recourse for when an employer does not require the vaccine, but will make their life hell if they don't (e.g. no access to common break areas, regular temperature checks, forbidden from meetings and from work festivities)?

Which science...the science that the CDC used to back their assertion that vaccinated people can go on without masks?...or the science that corporations use to back their assertion that employees still need to wear masks?

Sure are a lot of different sciences out there...

I never cared for Friends myself; just felt like everyone in the cast was much too feminine.

I enjoyed Night Court; especially the antics of Dan Fielding.

I'm still in the "everyone around me assumes everyone got vaccinated" phase. I'll unapologetically say I have not if anyone asks, but it has not come up so far.

Wonder if that will reset in September when people speculate they'll need a third shot...or if there will be a growing backlash to shame people who weren't vaccinated as more distribution centers shut down for lack of interest.

the fragility of North America's energy system when run by Democrats

would have been a more accurate headline

"Science is a process? Pfft, what a bunch of smoothbrains! Thinking there's some process to science...they'll probably call it the 'scientific method' or something stupid..."

I remember when fearmongers were cheering the death of people who didn't mask up or social distance, and later apparently died from Covid. They were "proof" that karma existed and that everyone needed to mask up.

Now when people die shortly after taking the vaccine, the fearmongers use different logic: After they fail to censor the story outright, they make up some BS about how the death was probably not related to the vaccine...and the final card is "But it doesn't mean you'll die if you take it!"

My preference is to be a member of the Church built by Jesus Christ. You don't get guaranteed catered meals or earthly power and money, but you do achieve a measure of peace and an eternal afterlife in the glory of God...and you don't have to go through any man-made initiation, or ask a priest for permission, or be a Rockefeller to get it.

"BUT MUH RISK MITIGATION!!!!!!!!"

If you're not helping your country reduce its infection rate by 0.000001%, then you're a selfish bigot conspiracy kook and probably a murderer!!!

The hackers are either lying about "not wanting to cause havoc" so they can cover their asses, or they're incredibly retarded thinking that their actions had no chance of causing any.

I remember when they reduced the cycle threshold immediately after Biden got elected because they claimed it was too high. I thought "What a coincidence in timing! Now are they going to go back through all the old test results and adjust them accordingly?...of course they won't!"

Of course! It's the same science that says we're unsafe if we enter a restaurant without a mask, but we're safe after we take it off at our seat a minute later.

They can justify it by finding words other than murder or genocide to describe it. Maybe "Compassionate Euthenasia" or "Mercy Killing" or "Spirit Transfer."

Of course there is nothing about her appearance to back up my assertion; but we shouldn't take a chance!!!

I hope you're not absolving the actual manufacturers from responsibility by using association to nebulously shift blame toward general population segments. Outside of incentivizing its existence, I have no say in the manufacturing process at all.

It likewise pisses me off when a thug commits a violent crime a thousand miles away, and I'm told I'm responsible for it because something something culture something something did not do anything to stop it.

Meanwhile in Michigan, Whitmer be all: "Now listen you peasants. If you don't vaccinate, I'm not rolling back my lockdown. And since I can do what I want, I have no reason to flinch and this can go on indefinitely...and you know you'll re-elect me because Republicans are evil."

Left-wing acquaintance: "Haha your side is stupid, look at all the dumb and unethical things they're doing!"

Me: "I don't like the Republican leadership either."

Left-wing acquaintance: ".....well you probably still watch Faux News."

Me: "I never cared for it. And since you brought up ethics, let's talk about 'your' side..."

Left-wing acquaintance: "...DEMOCRATS ARE PERFECT REEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

They sound like my old boss when he had me try a raw oyster while we were at a seafood place once. I had just one, and then I was sick the next day. I come in after the weekend feeling better and told him what happened...his response was "It was all in your head! You weren't really sick!" I honestly had no response to such an absurd statement.

But hey, whatever helps vaccinated people sleep at night. It was "just a tiny fraction of a percentage of people who took J&J" after all; kind of like the tiny fraction of people who became disabled or deceased after getting the virus, right?
