What is an employee's recourse for when an employer does not require the vaccine, but will make their life hell if they don't (e.g. no access to common break areas, regular temperature checks, forbidden from meetings and from work festivities)?
The emergency declarations need to go.
Even in current safe havens like South Dakota and Florida they persist, as does the absurd 'rule by executive order' our leaders have taken to in its wake. https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/state/gov-desantis-extends-floridas-covid-19-state-of-emergency-again
Also, as a total side note, experimental 'gene drive' mosquitos are being released over a period of 12 weeks in Florida. https://www.newsweek.com/florida-keys-mosquito-experiment-oxitec-genetically-modified-1587044
Currently, the EGT, the PCR tests, the mask mandates are all 'tools' made available via the emergency declaration/EUA.
We absolutely will need mutual aid communities, just not sure Florida is the incredible safe haven it is being billed as right now.
That's a hostile work environment.
