Native Ukrainian here. I hate it when Hollywood shows Russians speaking in English with a generic Eastern European accent. The only time it worked for me was in The Hunt for Red October when Marko Ramius (Sean Connery) is speaking in Russian to Captain Borodin (Sam Neill). As the camera slowly zooms into their moving lips, the Actors seamlessly switch to English. Brilliant!
Just hire native Russian-speaking actors (we have many very talented people) and let them speak in their native language with English subtitles below.
