I hardly could tell what my degree is by modern education degree scale. Higher than master of science, but lower than PhD if judge by years in university. But it is unclear does one year in university in the end of previous century is equal to one year today. Also, may be, my graduation thesis could be easily pass as PhD thesis now. And so on.
