I think they planned on the crowd acting like BLM and Antifa. They were 100% certain of it. But instead they were orderly and actually stopped their agent provocateurs. I think those pipe bombs were not supposed to be found either and would have resulted in casuaties. I think most of the people at Trump's speech were supposed to be at the Capitol already.
If you are printing out decades of emails and receipts and burying them, I think it's long pass time you switched over to Linux.
Digital records are physical records, it's just written in binary on a hard disk rather than ink on paper. Nobody has the power, let alone Microsoft, to make that binary inaccessible. Damage to the hard drive itself is the danger to digital records. Hence the need for backups.
Get away from Windows and Apple. Free yourself from such worries. Linux Mint and Linux Majaro are both really good.
Come on Massie, you aren't that naive are you? Ukraine is where they wash the money they loot from the treasury and its a safe zone for human trafficking with all the horrors that entails. Never attribute to malice what could be explained by ignorance is a good default position, but these politicians don't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
As a libertarian, my position on this never changed. The mainstream left and right completely swapped positions on this issue in the last five or six years. Looks like it's switching back now. That said, there is a lot of evidence to suggest the state is deeply involved in these social media companies, even from inception. So how private they actually are isn't so clear.
It makes sense from a Malthusian climate crisis world view. They think the only way to save humanity, particularly themselves, is massive depopulation and a drastic reduction of consumption.
What evil can't be justified in the name of saving humanity and the planet from extinction? Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc... all thought they were saving the world from the the inevitable collapse of capitalism. The elites and left today believe much the same thing.
It is my firm belief it is a mistake to hold firm beliefs. The Dead Internet Theory is an interesting idea, but it's obviously not true. There are like millions of new webpages created everyday. Everyone around me IRL is on the internet. Most are permanently glued to their phones. Even the elderly at this point. Google search is the potemkin village, not the internet itself. Or maybe I'm just a bot programmed to say this :D
I know lots of people who believe the conspiracy theory that Trump is a Russian agent. It sounds silly I know, but they really believe it.
