On one of the worst days of my life, I saw two people who might have been angels disguised as humans. They both appeared to be in their 70s and it was a ghetto area so they both looked like elders from that area. The first was a man wearing a rosary, we were walking opposite directions while crossing the street. He layed his hands on me and told me God loves me and forgives me, and to be happy because he has plans for me. I felt this really powerful sense of relief and joy wash over me, like a warm physical sensation through my whole body. I was semi stunned by this, the guy continued on his way, but when I turned around he was gone. It wasn't a spot he could have left my view so quickly. Then I took a bus home and eventually started slipping back in to a negative state thinking about things. Then when I walked from the bus stop to home this old woman started walking with me and talking. I won't get into the whole convo, I mostly listened but she said the same things as the last guy, and that I should focus on the present and how beautiful life is, and mistakes and trials are part of life to develope you. And I felt that same warm presence or energy again. She told me she walks that way every day. When I walked away from her, I did a double take and she also vanished. I never saw her again even though she supposedly walks that way every day. It wasn't until that night that I thought about it again, and how supernatural it felt, and how uncommon it was for two strangers in the ghetto to say these spiritual words to me, and lift my spirit like that, on what happened to be one of the worst times of my life. They just seemed like angels.
Angel is similar to what they are; perfected, empowered human servants of God. Not uncommon to hear of in scriptural accounts or on the street. They have a mission on this earth and that is to gather and minister to the beloved children of God.
Ya I was shocked when I searched for other such accounts of disguised angels. Many people had very similar descriptions where their words and presence a very powerful, the feeling of the holy spirit on you, and they often seem to vanish inexplicably. I saw this verse, "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." -Hebrews 13:2. And several other instances in the Bible where angels were not recognized immediately. I'm very grateful.
I did once see a ghost. It was 1998 or so, and I was staying the night at my future wife's parents' house. She woke me up in the middle of the night as we lay together, and pointed at the foot of the bed.
I swear to God, I saw a ghost of a little boy there, staring at us. Only the fact that we BOTH saw it is proof for me that it wasn't a dream. She just pointed, and after a moment when the ghost disappeared, did we talk about what we had seen. I didn't tell her what I saw until after she said she saw a little boy, at which point I said I saw a boy too.
I was awake, not only do I remember it distinctly, but because we spoke about it afterwards, both that night and the next day, so it was not some shared dream. She said she inexplicably woke up, and then woke me up because of what she saw.
It was there but a moment, it seemed like a long time as we stared at each other but, it had to have only been a minute or two.
I've seen a few things. I used to go walking around the loop my street made which was about a half a mile long. Half of it was unfinished and still a dirt road through the woods. I'd listen to my walkman and my cat liked to go with me if it was dark. One night we were approaching the wooded are where the asphalt stopped, I was zoned out listening to my old walkman and I noticed he'd stopped and was up on his toes as if threatened. I looked where he was looking and there was... something.
It looked like fog, but it was human shaped. No features, but you could see it had arms and legs, a head. It stood as if staring straight at us. After a few seconds it walked off into the woods. It moved like a human. It didn't dissipate like fog in the wind or steam from the street. That the cat had seen it and drew my attention to it was what made me think it wasn't just me.
I've since lived in a house with a cemetery attached. Things happened there all the time, mostly noises and motion sensor lights clicking on in sequence as if someone was walking past that side of the house, or the odd smell of old pipe tobacco or perfume (the place was old and untreated tobacco smells different from what we're used to now. Most of the Graves were interred 1850-1930ish). After a while you stop taking it badly, I figured if they were people once they're probably bored and restless. Nothing seemed hostile.
I don't have an explanation for this - not saying it was paranormal but I don't know what to attribute this to. Long story made really short: Party at my grandparent's house and someone was playing with a Ouija board. Several people claimed it was moving. I thought (and mostly still think) Ouijas are pretty stupid. I broke the board over my knee to provoke "the spirits". The entire house lost power instantly. No joke, not bullshitting. Things on different breakers- every part of the house. We hauled ass outside to the front lawn and noticed that the rest of the street had power. My lights stayed off for about 20 minutes then popped back on.
A little extra info: My friend's uncle had been killed on a motorcycle at Ft. Benning (this was '89 or '90 I think). His mother was at the party and she was trying to contact her son when I broke the board. I hadn't known that was what she was doing. Felt bad.
I can't explain it, there was a Civil War cemetery where we went to party in high school. I have seen glowing orbs in the cemetery and got unexplained chills there. I'd like to figure out a scientific explanation for it.
I visited an old cemetery in Connecticut with some friends at night. No one was intoxicated. One person went off to the bathroom while I stood with my friend. We both saw a glowing orb about the size of a volleyball trail above our heads, maybe lasting about 5 seconds or so. We both said "do you see this?" Later, friend came back and insisted on going for a walk, even though we were pretty spooked. We walked up the trail deeper into the grounds and I swear I could hear whispers. I had enough and ran back to the car, when I looked up the road that ran alongside the cemetery and back into the woods, I thought I saw the outline of a large black dog looking at us. I yelled for my friend to get back in the car and get us out of there. Could have been a coyote but on top of everything else that happened, it scared me senseless. I no longer visit cemeteries because of this.
There is an earthly power that is composed of a negative spiritual force that exists in opposition to humans and that wants our misery and destruction. Just talking about it sometimes provokes attack. Have you ever felt spiritually attacked? Fear and anxiety are only one result. Doubt and discouragement are most common
Spent time with a martial arts expert who could effectively see while blindfolded. He claimed to be able to sense peoples energy and taught others how to do it as well. He was able to proove all of this, he let me check his blindfolds and use other blindfolds and be across multiple rooms in buildings of my choosing. He had me convinced and I was really trying not to buy it. He said its not supernatural just not codified and was able to teach me the basics of how to develop it. I didnt stick around long enough to get to his level but Im convinced that human perception is not necessarily limited to 5 senses. I dont know if thats what you mean by supernatural though.
I totally think energy stuff is 100% real. I feel like I can sense emotions or shifts in emotion, it's a blessing and a curse because I have complusions and can't keep it to myself haha, would save me some grief.
Do you remember anything he said about developing it? The similarity I have wondered about is seeming telepathic communication with loved ones. It just seems I have experienced so many coincidences with a loved one calling at very significant times as if they knew something was going on, or me contacting them at such times. I even experienced this with pets, I asked about my bird hours after it flew away (it came back), and my dog when it had a seizure.
I've trained with very experienced blind Judo players, and while yes they start with a grip (touching you) there is a kinetic sense to body awareness that they have that is superior to a sighted person.
i used to get anomalous experiences often (things like thinking about a person and then with in seconds they call you or just show up). As a kid id get weird night terrors were id were id wake up feeling like i was fighting for my life against something. thats really it for me. https://www.pni.org/research/anomalous/anomalous_primer.html
i lived in the attic apartment of a very old house for awhile. the activity there, which was mostly loud noises like stomping and whatnot, drove my girlfriend at the time to move out.
I was part of a group of boy scouts hiking a large volcanic peak in the northwest. We were very late getting down and somewhat lost. We didn't summit and had to go down or risk darkness. Around 9:30 we got into the trees and we got really worried since a few degrees off on descent can get you miles from point of origin. We decided to voice a desperate prayer for rescue and proceeded to call out for help, all of us calling out across the forest.
Not long later a voice shouted back and we replied, asking, "Where's the road?!?"
A response, "Go towards the sun!" Now heading towards the setting sun we soon found the camp and road but never saw our savior that night.
Later we all agreed no one else should have been in that part of the mountain that late and were grateful for any natural or supernatural guidance.
I had a sleep disorder. Bad sleep disorder. I'd fall into Rem in about 5 minutes quickest was under a minute. I forget what it's called, it affects a number people like 1 in 10 or 100 thousand, in different ways. My mind would be seeing pictures, dreaming, before my body caught up. It caused horrible shit to happen. Bad stuff. Sensation of something attacking my leg like a big rat crawling up it, scratching clawing painful. But no cramp, after I would wake up, shoot awake, like a jack in the box hollering my head off. I would have to sleep with the light on and would wake up screaming the house down, had family there making sure I was okay. The worst was the shadow people. A reoccurring dream of a shilloutte, see through, an apparition, a male approaching me, like slender man, in my room exactly the same as if I am awake, only I am asleep, but in a dream paralysis. I cannot scream, cannot move, paralysed in dream. As this thing got closer and closer I'd wake up, when it's right at my feet, or at my head, screaming my lungs out so loud almost enough to shatter glass. Once was a female head, just floating above mine, the same panic. It was bad I couldn't sleep next to anybody, or my cat. I'd attack them unintentionally. It lasted for years. It was terrifying. I got a dog and it finally went away. Except stuff moves sometimes in my room now, chair creaks so loud, hours after sitting in it, creaks to the point of movement, like something sitting it. Or the door creaks open, suddenly from being closed. Probably explanation for this phenomenon unlike my past sleep disorder, but not when it wakes me up. Sleep disorder sleeping with eyes partially open, it captures the room, but what was the shadow. Leg was advanced pins and needles, almost a hamstring, except it went right up it from foot to thigh. It felt like it was a big rat running up it, clawing at it. Sleep disorder stuff. Kicked it. Think the chair is the pillow plumping out. But it shouldn't be happening 5 hours later, awaking me, to the point of moving the chair sometimes. Door breeze, but opening it from closed, well it's odd, but it's possible.
Kicked it, or my dog did, except the unusual chair, I should get a new one. Bothered no. It's not a shadow person I cannot do nothing about, attacking my damn leg.
I still fall into Rem quick, but don't dream as much. Dreams I have come true sometimes, and most I know why I've dreamt them where they came from, or why. But at least I haven't seen the shadow people in years.
My friend bought a painting which he believes was haunted. He is adamant that a being appeared at his bedside one night while sleeping in the room with the painting. He also claims he was able to physically punch the being in the stomach and felt a demonic presence. Whether or not it happened I don't know, but I believe he is convinced it happened
My Dad died last April. About two hours after he died, a picture behind the couch flew off the wall. It landed several feet in front of the couch.
My Dad was a painter. He had agreed to paint a woman's house, but died before he got to that job. After about a month I called that woman to see if she was interested in hiring me. She told me that around a week prior, she was thinking about my Dad and wondering when he was going to contact her to get started. And at that moment, her dog began barking at nothing and she felt creeper out like he was seeing a ghost. She didn't find out he died until after that.
As I said my Dad was a painter. He was killed in a hit and run. The man who hit him worked in the paint department of our local hardware store. My Dad had purchased paint from him earlier in the day.
One night my Mom called me. I was on my back deck, and I kept seeing a light out of the corner of my eye. Like a firefly or bright star was always in my peripheral vision. I kept looking up and saw nothing but the ordinary sky. I didn't think much of it as I spoke to my Mom on the phone. I never mentioned it to her because it seemed insignificant at the time.
But later that very night, unbeknownst to me until the next day, my Mom was just feeling broken over my Dads death. She got down on her knees and prayed in her bedroom. She said she felt my Dads presence in the room, and a feeling came over her that he was okay, but that he would be leaving this Earth soon. At that moment she seen a bright light in her window, whuch made a flash and then flew away. Remember, that same night I saw unexplained light flashes in the sky as I spoke to her on the phone.
But weeks prior to that, I "asked the radio" to play me a song about my Dad. I do that a lot, as I believe God communicates to us through music. The next song that played was "Oh baby I love your way." I played that song and thought of my Dad for weeks, but after the light flashes in the sky, these lyrics became more meaningful:
"The moon appears to shine and light the sky. With the help of some fireflies. I wonder how they have the power to shine, shine, shine. I can see them under the pine.."
Conveniently, my backyard where I noticed the lights has many pine trees.
I have more such stories throughout life. But this time after my Dad was killed, had so many chilling moments for many in my family. I have no doubt that there is more beyond this life.
Wow thank you for that bud. I just had a convo with him in the car..lol. only to myself, but in case he's listening. I love Atmosphere, and I've never heard that one. It will be going on my mp3 player and will be blasted in my Dads Ford Escape that he left me soon enough :)
My grandparents lived in an old farm house they'd rented for like 30 years. I grew up hearing ghost stories all my life about it, and had my own experience there too. Apparently the farmer that owned it died in it, and didn't like people in there. He obviously wasn't harmful or anything, just fucked with people who were there as best as his ghostly self could.
My dad told me a story about how when he was a kid there he was with a friend playing upstairs, waiting for their brother to get home off the bus. They heard him run up the stairs, but never saw him, looked all around. The third time this happened, as they were looking the bus pulled up and out popped his brother.
My step-Grandma moved in years after that. She is a very spiritual / Christian woman and apparently when she first moved in with my grandpa the ghost went a little nuts. I'm not sure exactly what happened to her, but she managed to tell it she/they were there to take care of the house, would keep it safe, etc and it went pretty quiet.
For a time while I was in college I lived there. All of the friends I've ever brought there could definitely tell there was something else there, place had a vibe about it. One night I wanted to play some games on the big tv downstairs, so I grabbed my ps3 and started to quietly make my way down. Now both my grandparents were asleep in a room across the hall. I wanted to game and didn't want to be interrupted, so I didn't want to wake them. This was an old farmhouse, and I wasn't yet familiar with where all the floorboard squeaks were, so I went extremely slow. I would take one soft step, and wait and listen. Sure enough, every time I heard both of my grandparents distinct snores.
I went through that elaborate description of my creeping around because, as I almost made it to the steps down after doing this for about 10 steps, I hear a voice I didnt recognize from right behind my head whisper "Goodnight [my name]".
Needless to say I immediately tossed my precious ps3 on my bed and booked it out of the house to stay with my gf for the night. My grandma had a priest bless the house once a month after that and there weren't any other problems.
Ooooh let's sticky this! I miss the paranormal stories.
I don't have any big stuff per se, Lotta little things but I'm fully convinced I'm followed by good stuff and bad stuff all the time but hey, I'm paranoid. Most recent has been my cats. Backstory my guy cat is terrified of everyone except me and one other person and it took us months to gain his trust but he constantly stands by the wall corners and meows like he does to us when he wants attention. My other cat, little girl, will usually go hmm and purr when we walk near her and she wants attention and that's been happening in the middle of the night when she is alone in the living room. (I know she isnt doing that for the guy cat cuz she's not a fan) not fully sure what to make of it but it's been weird.

That's good to know, which culture does that come from? I believe in the British Isles it is seen as a harbinger of death.
Hmm, I’ve definitely read about people seeing orbs before.
How big in diameter would you say they were? What color?
I've felt satan and demons
What’s the difference between feeling anxiety and fear vs when you felt ‘satan and demons’?
There is an earthly power that is composed of a negative spiritual force that exists in opposition to humans and that wants our misery and destruction. So you rule out that it was an animal?
I was part of a group of boy scouts hiking a large volcanic peak in the northwest. We were very late getting down and somewhat lost. We didn't summit and had to go down or risk darkness.
I just want to suggest the song Atmosphere - Yesterday ..I think you'll feel it
But either way I'm sorry for your loss man
Wow thank you for that bud. I just had a convo with him in the car..lol. only to myself, but in case he's listening. I love Atmosphere, and I've never heard that one. It will be going on my mp3 player and will be blasted in my Dads Ford Escape that he left me soon enough :)
Glad I could help, used to bump pretty much nothing BUT Rhymesayers for several years after Eyedeas passing
I've seen the same one or ones. Don't like those dudes.
I think they show up when there's a rift in the dimensions.
You are sharing the power of imagination.
