I've always thought this was bullshit or even probably a psyop but I'm starting to think there's something to it. Just by the circumstances of life I haven't had sex in probably a week now and I feel great. My mind is clearer, my workouts are feeling better. I've been more productive.
My theory that I just made up right now is that it's related to the dopamine system and constantly cooming has a similar effect on your brain as cannabis, for example. Really anything that you do regularly that makes you feel satisfied will eventually sap your motivation and drive. The fundamental goal of life is ostensibly to reproduce. By jerking off, you are tricking your brain into feeling like you have accomplished that goal and your brain is flooded with reward chemicals that make you feel like "job well done, we can relax now". It makes you lazy and unmotivated.
That is why porn is free. It is also why casual sex is pushed so hard in conjunction with birth control which is primarily marketed toward women. Because women are, in my estimation, far less likely to become true porn addicts, but instead tend to become addicted more to the social-emotional aspect of sexuality, and they are also more likely to adopt the perceived "majority view". That is why women were the ones you mostly saw confronting people in public who weren't following "covid" restrictions. That is why many contemporary writers on communism and totalitarianism talk about how it was always the women who socially policed the tyranny most fervantly. Because they are biologically hardwired to maintain the social paradigm, whatever it may be.
