Faked Jussie choreographed both sides of an attack in order to create a video of terrorism, but no one was actually harmed. Christchurch New Zealand was faked.
False Motive Dylann Roof assassinated a senator, but the only things ever mentioned were the racial demographics and Burger King.
False Flag The US did 9/11 to itself. The building actually fell, and people actually got hurt. That gave the USA all the evidence they needed to burn down Iraq with everyone inside it.
I think for the real attacks it's also important to determine whether the perpetrator is acting randomly, desperately, or rationally. Whether it is coerced through blackmail, ideological radicalism, or puppeteering. Whether it is striking a foe or merely lashing out for attention.
