Yeah the controlled opposition argument doesn't hold water with me. The media was even attacking his son who was only like 12 or 13 at the time. I think left and right were pretty much different shoes on the same person. But now I think the political left has taken over basically everything, the entertainment industry, Hollywood, schools the entire media system and most likely the voting system. I think the country is headed to a 1 party state.
Yeah the big news in case you missed it, is the autism rate in kids is now 1/36 up from 1/42 a few years ago.
Every time this happens people are like, oh it's just increased diagnosis. But is the diagnostic criteria for autism changing every year? No one wants to seriously look at this issue.
Science has become a religion with people proclaiming they "believe in it ". Who cares who funds it, or what insane conflicts of interest they have. Or if they cheated in any of the trials, or if the studies that showed no benefit simply disappeared into the ether ...

There is also a commercial real estate bubble which is popping. I expect the fed to pump trillions in to stabilise the system which will cause more inflation.
The problem was the hypothesis was never scientifically proven. It was just taken as fact and the rest was history.
Look up what kary mullis said about it. He's the guy that invented the pcr test. He really blew the lid off the whole fraud. He became involved because they were using the pcr test to diagnose hiv in people.
