MAC address have 3 byte Organization Unique Identifier where first byte contain type bits and 3 byte network address. Only common thing between MAC and BD_ADDR is their total length. They are not the same, not interchangeable and have different purpose in corresponding protocols.
Second - every Bluetooth device could easily tell you a lot of things about itself if you know its BD_ADDR. Including purpose, manufacturer, available data endpoints and so on. Even before any pairing, where device could ask you to enter PIN-code you don't know.
If you just scan for suspicious BD_ADDRs around and don't go further, without any attempts to get SDP/GATT/LMP attributes, profiles, services and descriptors from BT devices with known addresses to find out what are they - you are a complete idiot.
