The reason for thousands of satellites for billionaires to watch everything is so they can target the customers of smaller competing businesses with special offers and to target their talented employees with employment offers. If too many cars drive into the parking lot of your small business, they will put up a corporate competitor nearby or buy the building and raise your rent.
Screenshots are preferred because hits, shares and likes are what fuel social media and its reach. Screenshots take the steam out of whatever they want to suppress by nudging the target audience to NOT visit, share or like the content.
