In the UK the goverenment claims how devastating the Cohoax pandemic has been in terms of excess deaths.
This is because they only show data from 2019-2020-2021 and one may note that there is an increase.
However, when you zoom out one can plainly see that the death rate in 2020 is just above the 2006 and way lower than the death rates of 2005. There has been a bottom around 2012 and then a steady increase since.
This is where bias in data selection creeps in and the notion that one can prove anything one wants with statistics.
Obviously Germany is an exception. Also, the US data is much different.
