Crypto used to make fiat gains is worthless, and a scam. Decentralized crypto, as an alternative to State and Bank run currency, has tremendous value. This is why US was quick to adopt crypto as a legal currency. Not only did it allow them to spend siezed coins, like they do cash, they can invest(control) in crypto markets the same way the stock market is.

The reason these products exist is actually because of marijuana prohibition, and fed legalization of hemp.

Make deals with local farmers while you can. You want to pay for your beef while it is still living, and have the farmer bring the cow to a local processor. This is a common CSA meat model.
Federal processors are what make store meats so expensive. These processors keep taking a larger cut, while they continue to pay the farmer less, and the retailers are applying their same markups as always. There're only 4 federal meat processors, and it's about to get worse when Amazon(whole foods) gets in there.
Most states allow for farmers to process their own poultry. Buy straight from them.

Quality, nutritious beef comes from grass fed cows. If you don't have enough pasture to graze your animals, then you're overstocking. Overstocked cattle are the unhealthy ones that need to be dewormed continuously and given antibiotics.
It sucks that several generations of farmers have been tricked into this methodology, but those that don't wish to return to sustainable production of quality food, deserve to go out of business.
Put some effort into sourcing quality food for yourself, regardless of what prices do.

Industrial food production is inefficient. It produces very few vitamins, minerals and calories per square ft. Inefficient production(& distribution) =/= lack of resources.
