You're very bad at that. Get off the coin, and go wire fan fiction elsewhere.

I feel like the first long covid cases were west coast. Does anyone else have this memory? The first time I heard of it was a family member on the west coast.

The article says that teacher is an expert on the topic, and her supervisor didn't even know what the word was. They got rid of her because she told the kids she had to follow protocol and speak to parents.

The woman, who gave evidence last week to an ongoing review into child and adolescent gender dysphoria care, led by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass, said the problems began in May 2021 after some Year 7 students complained when she greeted the class with 'good afternoon, girls.'

I watched a shitty movie on prime last night. 2 of the 4 kids in the intro were not male / female, and one of the girls that says they were a he kissed a girl with a boyfriend. They were high school students in an end of the world movie.

It's just stupid enough to be funny.

Last night, the philosophy and religious education teacher spoke of her belief that she was 'managed out' by senior staff at the prestigious institution, which is part of the independent Girls' Day School Trust, but only after she was forced to publicly apologise.

The teacher could clearly have argued her case of the job was worth keeping.

The woman, who gave evidence last week to an ongoing review into child and adolescent gender dysphoria care, led by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass, said the problems began in May 2021 after some Year 7 students complained when she greeted the class with 'good afternoon, girls.'

After being told that not everyone identified as female, one pupil stood up and challenged her to 'acknowledge' their pronouns.

An 11 yr old bully. I hope they get everything they ask for with their identity. May all their hopes and gender dreams come true.

But the teacher, who has requested anonymity to protect the pupils, replied that if their pronouns differed from their biological sex, she would need to involve parents. The teacher then said she sought guidance from the head of year about what to do if a pupil was experiencing gender dysphoria – a term used to describe a mismatch between biological sex and gender. But her superior allegedly told her she had no knowledge of the terminology or whether any communications had been had with parents on the issue.

The people in charge aren't up to date, are the parents even aware?

There's a difference in that when it comes to kids, and adults.

They don't even have to be bots. I remember when there were ads posted on r/conspiracy. These days they just say marketing.

Planned parenthood switched from women's health to transgender support. They're dead to me.

Moore and anti-school choice advocates claim public dollars should not go to private schools. Yet they apply this stance only to K-12 education. No one has ever called for restricting the use of publicly funded Pell grants only to public universities. Perhaps that is because there is not a union for college professors and university administrators that is as politically influential as local and national teachers unions. Both oppose expanding charter schools and any type of school choice voucher program.

The same groups have encouraged the last two Democrats in the White House to cut a similar program in Washington, D.C. Congress created the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program in 2004 after local parents organized an effort to provide education options for low-income students. One of Barack Obama’s first acts as president was to try to axe the program. Ultimately, he was unsuccessful.

President Donald Trump increased funding for the program, but the political football was tossed again in 2021, when the Biden administration took over. Much to the delight of the National Education Association, the nation’s largest teachers union, one of the first things the current administration did was move to phase out the program.

Local and national teachers unions want your kids curriculum in their hands.

My kids would have fucked that room up, and damaged the door. There's a time and place for everything.

I'm sorry that happened to you. In case you forgot, filling the prescriptions is proof he gave them to you.

That's a setting too. I can never use these, I'm too forgetful. When I was in uni the people around me had to constantly remind me not to leave my cell behind.

The merchant category codes demanded by gun control groups that were announced to great fanfare last fall are now in limbo after major credit card companies, including Visa and Mastercard, announced on Wednesday that they’re halting their rollout of the codes in response to a number of bills filed in red states that bar the use of the codes and promise fines for those credit card companies that use them.

The companies have never really been on board with the category code since the far-left Amalgamated Bank and gun control activists began lobbying for the International Standardization Organization to create one several years ago. The anti-gunners claim the code will help prevent mass shootings by requiring the companies to flag “suspicious transactions” at firearms retailers, but both Visa and Mastercard executives have said the codes don’t identify specific purchases, and the responsibility to flag any transactions deemed suspicious is more about reducing banking fraud and other financial crimes. At the very least, the legislation both companies referenced in today’s decision may have given the companies an easy out for a scheme they were never really on board with in the first place.
