Thats all it takes really. As long as its hooked into enough stuff.

Every single currency that isn't physical and non-fiat is the same. But even commodities like gold or silver... if they put heads together and decide to make them worthless, who is to stop it? They are able to make freakin water into gold via regulation and sheep compliance, the most abundant resource we have.

Its all one big casino, and you aint in it :P

Not sure what you mean by UDP being ostracized... I use it for all kinds of stuff if it's applicable. Its way faster... time will tell though thats the bottom line. I was very skeptical of it at first given the spectacular dumpster fire that all other satellite ISPs are...

MajorMountain 1 point ago +1 / -0

Eh... thats not quite true... for starters you still get both TCP and UDP... but 1000 is still 200 million users... 100 is 20 million... IPV6 probably still a pipe dream for a while but eventually it is capable.... as long there is enough memory and processing ability you can theoretically have millions of processes per device behind the NAT though... 2^96 theoretical maybe? Probably would never have enough memory for that though lol.

I doubt he cares as long as its gonna be profitable at that amount, they will have to figure out making sure the satellites can actually carry that much load too before they worry about billions of users.

No.

NATO might defeat russia by proxy I suppose... but I doubt even that would happen because BRICS would also become involved. Even Mexico wants to jump ship and join BRICS now.

The more NATO tries to pretend Ukraine was a good idea the deeper the hole they are digging unfortunately. NATO has offshored and moved all the high tech manufacturing our of their own control... they are screwed unless they can miraculously build it back (the knowlege still mostly exists) before collapse....

The only chance NATO has is that they still produce a lot of the "feed stocks" that are needed for all that manufacturing... but I'm not convinced of how much that is driven by need because raw resources exist all over the world.

The possibilities are hes dead or brain dead and they are faking his “appearances” including this possible deep fake OR they faked the entire freaking thing and he’s been perfectly fine this whole time. They are definitely lying either way. Nothing adds up.

Deep fake. Scripted. Posed. Blurred background. Odd zooming… the hoax continues

I know people who did that working a various silicon valley jobs over the years... worked at google and lived in a van or a box truck in the parking lot.... fully retired now living the good life. If I coulda done it, I would have. I was married with kids already though, no way I'd put my whole family through that.

If this is officially supported, and if I don't have to pay a dime for it and still get a good tech salary? and if I were young and single? hell ya, I'd be all over it. Save almost every penny for several years and retire!

Well ... in fairness... yes. I have. Just not in the numbers we are seeing now.

Update... heard back ... after personal twitter account suspended he started using @covidcandy instead and covidcandy.net appears to be working.

So far, I have determined there might be marital issues? Not at all clear why it would impact research though. If I learn more I'll share (if it is related to research) I don't want to air people's personal laundry if not related though.

Solid work was happening and it seems to have disappeared... so its still fishy.

What are the sources behind the claims here? This smacks of big budget disney continuing to be butthurt.... they are paying a lot of money right now to make videos like the one above... as well as to get very long segments on conservative talk shows where callers get inordinate amounts of time to ramble on about nonsense without being challenged on the illogic of their rhetoric

MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

I'm not crying, i don't really care... I'm pretty sure you're just intentionally trolling, because nobody could possibly be this stupid. So therefore I'm not inclined to put effort in.

2
MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

You ignored again. I didn’t say there aren’t sources. I said you have to admit how stupid it is to estimate everything using the largest possible values and assumption that every plane flies around the world before landing at o’hare for refueling … it would be stupid to waste time quoting sources that you will not care about since you can’t even admit the sheer scale of your overall estimate let alone attempt an accurate account

2
MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

I don’t need a source when you won’t even entertain basic logic such as the fact that with a full fuel tank a 777 can fly a very long way for many hours but most domestic flights are only a few hours or less… you keep calculating “worst case” and then saying “see it’s impossible they are lying”. If you cannot be intelligent about things like that why should I waste time looking up random things you request?

2
MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

I gave you factual information… you keep avoiding it. How long are the flights that they need to fill 50,000 gallons on average per departure… where are you getting the data on 2500 average departures?

2
MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

i don't work for any airline (private pilots license though) ... the number of runways and stuff is basic info... you can look it up in many places about o'hare...

It doesn't matter which airport though, i'm just talking logistics... you can only clear so many flights to take off... the number of seconds in a day is fixed. your claim of 2500 does not make a lot of sense.... not enough time for anyone to also land... etc.. maybe one a couple days with perfect weather they could get near that with 8 runways... but most likely its gotta be more like 1500ish departures.

You still are not addressing how long the flights are and how much fuel each plain ACTUALLY needs since it obviously isn't an empty fill to 100% each time.

MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

777 carries 31k gallons max... if you also put tanks in the cargo hold you can get more but likely not common... and like i've said repeatedly but still not accounted for, you do not use 31k (or whatever the capacity of a particular plane is) per flight... they don't land empty... you only fill a fraction of the tank at a time.

Yes plenty of small planes land at large airports and they all factor into the total. Just watch the traffic.... lots of regional jets, corp jets.... and smaller general aviation... helicopters too.

If it were 2500... that would mean about 138 per hour in the 18 hours or so per day that they actually have departures... 2.31 per minute or one every 25ish seconds for 18 hours straight. Sorry but thats not plausible.... just stand outside an airport and watch... they don't go that often.

2
MajorMountain 2 points ago +3 / -1

Lol, no you just ignored everything I said.

I explained why 800k is more realistic... you now say 50k+ gallons for a 777, but thats still wrong even if it started out empty (they don't and a 777 does not hold that much).... then you say 2500 departures a day from o'hare? No... nowhere near that much.... that would be 104 per hour even if they went 24/7 which they don't.... and there are only 8 runways at o'hare, and they don't use them all at once depending on wind, etc.

And where the hell do you get off thinking that every plane is comparable in size to a 777 or a 747 or whatever? a lot of corporate jets only hold like 2k maybe 3k gallons and lots are smaller that that ... especially little cessna and stuff... maybe only 40 or 50 gallons.
