Virtually everyone I knew who "tested positive" for it and got very sick all lost their sense of taste in smell, and all thought it was very odd. I made my one buddy drink vinegar because we didn't believe him.
Again, I'm not challenging any other parts of what your saying... just that part. Because I saw it first hand (for what that's worth on the internet these days anyway), so I just can't buy into the fact that it was completely fabricated from start to finish.
I think it was just a very weak flu variant, but a real virus nonetheless.

If this is true, can you explain why so many people were losing their sense of smell and taste for extended periods? I agree that 99% of what we've been told about the illness is bullshit fear mongering, but I don't buy into the idea that this virus is completely fictional. I think that takes it a step to far and will make people stop listening to whatever accurate thing you might say next.
I know a lot of people personally who lost their sense of smell and taste last year, and I've never heard of that with the flu any other year (outside of just having a stuffy nose or whatever).
