Its not just the conspiracy forums though. 1 of the 2 local subreddits are dead, many of the game developer subreddits I go to, that actually do the work are dead too. r/graphicsprogramming, r/gameenginedevs. Plenty of yuppies in r/gamedev though thinking they are gonna strike it rich on their next 2d rogue like pixel game.
