Pictures of the aurora are starting to get uploaded to Facebook. Cant verify if real so take it with a grain of salt, but In the rare case of a Carrington event I would just like to say it was pleasure conversing here. (media.scored.co)

Am outside looking at the night sky, looks gray-ish. Take a photo on my phone (lowlight mode) and the green and pink pop... I'll post a pic

Side note: it seem to me that the impact of the Carrington Event has been vastly overstated. Readers here would probably assume that was on purpose and part of the existential strategy of tension to which we are all subject.

Really, take a look at that section of the wiki. There is no mention of any damage, only descriptions of the bright and spectacular auroras, and that telegraph operators ran their connection for two hours without battery power.

Fear-mongers and the fearful will wave their hands around about what "could happen" in our modern technological age, but then that's what fear-mongers and the fearful do, isn't it?

The realistic threat, if any, is that "They" will one day see fit to cut off your electricity, Internet, and cell, then scream, "cArRiNgToN eVeNt!" Almost everyone would fall for such a ruse.

I can attest you are right about the lack of information surrounding it. I think iv only found 1 book and a handful of papers about it. Although i have a differing opinion on why there is this lack of info, I must say you do have a good point.

Exactly, why would I trust the liars at NASA? The entire thing is faith based.

One Youtuber who is heavily promoting this and making a living out of it always ends his videos with: "Be Safe Everyone" which is highly reminiscent of "Stay Safe Everyone". It's like the covid hoax all over again.

I guess people are bored from following the weather so they follow the sun magnetic weather now.

They always used to say, "sex sells", but I think these days fear sells better. And if you're a buyer, you're not just some perv who wastes time looking at hot chicks, you're "in the know".

Same, but it would likely get rebuilt over time.

Could not see it. Took a long exposure of dark sky with my phone. Wow.

Whenever I take pictures of aurora on my phone, the pictures come out multi-colored like that, but in real life it's always just shades of green.

How far away is the sun and how big is it then?

How come that real scientists are able to predict solar events and auroras if hey are wrong abut size, distance and composition of the sun?

It's not curving and not moving

How do you know that and why do you dismiss all evidence that it's moving and curving?

it's easy to predict everything about the sun and planets

If it's easy then explain how to predict a solar storm and a solar eclipse using your model of the universe.

You make a lot of claims but provide no answers.

The earth being a globe is a new concept, not ancient. It's been around but it wasn't mainstream until the turn of the 20th century. Solor system, planets, space...wasn't taught in schools until after WW2.

That is complete and utter bullshit. Why are you making such ridiculous claims?
