Nobody is prepared. Prepping will only delay the inevitable. Farm life didn't really change much in the depression because the farmers were already barely scraping by and nothing really changed. We can prep all we want, but nature bats last. Only time will tell
You can have an underground bunker and a machine gun nest but if you don't know how to maintain or operate equipment you are fucked. I think being mentally prepared will be very advantageous.
The other issue with a bunker is if you enter too early it becomes your prison and if you're too late, sorry Charlie. Mentally prepared, a knowledge of what to forage and how to go undetected will be valuable assets. I live in the Denver area and many people say they're going to the mountains because they know how to hunt. They'll be dead before long because there's a lot more to it.

Physically, mentally, emotionally dependent on a system that cannot continue the way it has. I have no doubt the US government will try to start a war to save this dying police state. They waited until the greatest generation died because they survived the great depression and a lot of their knowledge died with them. I'm not scared, I've never felt comfortable within the bubble of this disingenuous superficial consumer society. I've risen time and again to positions of authority within the pseudo social hierarchy because I have advantages given to me by God. One of those advantages being able to see through the curve of what most people spend their lives chasing, seeing the juice isn't worth the squeeze. It's inauthentic and abhorrent and spits in the face of the gift we were given in this world. We can make something better, if it is God's will.
