There's a duality within it though as with all things. If we surrender our humanity to survive what are we surviving for? To quote Kingdom of Heaven in a Devils advocate sense against my own argument "It is a Kingdom of Conscience or Nothing." I've seen what doing things people can't live with does to them. We all have.
