Due to the recent spate of spam porno posts I've added new rules to the community filter, thanks to help from u/Graphenium and u/C.
Going forward an account may not make a post on Conspiracies if it is younger than 7 days AND has less than 200 points.
Let me know suggestions or what you think below. That should take care of spammers. Older accounts would still be able to spam, but once banned they would not able to just create a new one and continue.
I'll add a note to the sidebar about this so as not to discourage genuine good-faith new users, who will now be unable to post till their accounts meets those requirements.
That’ll stop his socks in their tracks. Good on you. Now he’ll create a network of sleepers that upvote themselves, but that takes time to gestate.
I really don't want to discourage new people from posting here, which is an effect even those relatively low filters may have.
I definitely understand. But posting comments first and engaging with the community that way is really good proof that a user is going to be legitimate. It forces shills/bots to expend energy they really don’t want to, and that’s generally discouragement enough. Obvious spam in comments is less disruptive than dozens of spam submissions. We’ll see.
Thank you guys for doing that. Now is a good time for it because this year likely we will see more attacks as they get desperate.
No!!!! My sexy Black Ladies! R.I.P. You will be missed....
Until you meet threshold...
Sounds good. Newbies can post comments and after proven can make posts. This way it will be too much effort for the spammers. I am all for it.
It may dissuade some of the new ones but opening the new posts page and seeing ANY porn spam will dissuade them even more IMO.
BTW thank you for all the effort and time you put here.
I'm just over here thinking the changing stories about tunnels in New York sound an awful lot like the tunnels under pizza shops in Washington. "We keep all the sauce in the basement." "What basement? James alefantis, john pedesta? Never heard of em."
Hey u/Graphenium how do I implement these filters to a couple of my communities?
https://communities.win/c/Manna/config/filter
You should be able to copy n paste from there to any of your other communities
For some reason it does not show any code. Only moderators with all permissions can see or modify this filter (Error: must be a moderator). Can you DM me the code?
Thanks.

I would send it in a message but that messes up the formatting - in that comment, there is a line between the two “commands”, it should actually just be 3 dashes
Lemme know if that works
Very good. I think this should work. I'll let you know if I see any more 'Big Beautiful Ebony Hoes' or any other assorted nonsense. Thanks for helping out.
Thank you Mods. It was getting tiresome seeing those posts. I appreciate your efforts!
At my post rate I'll be able to make a post in just a few more years!
IDK, but may be it is better to add a short howto about using block button for new users. In such way, new user will be able to block garbage and began to use this place normally.
Since you don't have full access to forum engine, you don't have enough instruments to effectively block influx of liberal and Israel trolls here. However, regular users have a tool to clean up things, just not aware of it at start. IDK, if even list of most blocked users is available for mods here.
Just wrote something like "we are under constant attack of hasbara/liberal/woke trolls, so please use blocking features of forum to keep things clean for yourself. You use block feature in this way ....".
We don't have that. Good point about explaining how to block - although I never blocked anyone so not sure how it works myself. I'll look into it.
I block advertising and troll spammers, works perfectly for me.
There could be little bugs with showing only few items on "NEW" page right after blocking and reloading page, but everything becomes fine after Ctrl+Shit+R full page reload.
To see that blocking works, you need to reload page. Preferrably with Ctrl+Shift+R, to avoid aforementioned bug.
let us all know how to identify them then
I don't understand your gripe.
External AI bots are not running so are not allowed.
Bots running by the site operators exist and therefore are not "allowed" either.
And somehow you discriminated between external AI bots (which are not present) and those run by the operators.
I'm curious and would be interested in seeing more detail.
As you have identified them, why not link to some?
Add it to the Community Rules. Also, they are currently only two. Perhaps it is not even needed to expand to see them. Just like on reddit is fine - on the right, so everyone is quickly aware of them.
